An extremely challenging issue for organisations is on-
boarding, this challenge is negatively affecting retention and
productivity. VR technology helps human resource managers
overcome this issue by offering solutions to improve the on-
boarding experience for new employees.
VR allows potential new talent to experience a firm’s
environment and also their future work without having to
physically visit the firm.
Learning with VR could be the end of classroom teaching. All subjects and classes
could be programmed and students would only have to place on their VR headset
andnavigate through the interface tohave access tothe material.

✗ Manage work-life balance
✗ Human resource managers are finding it complicated to ensure that their
programs meet with local needs of the employeeyet at the same time avoid
being too specific to any one population. Balancing the local workforce
with a global strategy can become extremely challenging.
✗ The flexibility that employees get when being part of a virtual workforce
can have consequences on levels of engagement. The Economic
Intelligence Unit survey reports that only 26% of respondents believe that
their company excels at retaining talent and that employee engagement
measures arelower invirtual workforces thaninphysical teams.

years of data” (The Guardian, 2015)
12. Technology’s impact on transport and it’s effecton social
interactions
When talking about technology and social interactions many might say that technology reduces
physical interactions between people, yet in the case of transport and more specifically
autonomous cars we can see from the examples here that this might not necessarily be the case. In
the future the car will likely turn out to be a small moving living room, where you can have
meetings, read a book, watch tv, play board games… Many other forms of private and public
transport will also improve their service by offering their passengers numerous additional
commodities.
All public transport will surely includewireless connection and charging for all kinds of devices.
