vienna, austria
wilhelm braumüller is the most ancient scientific publisher of vienna
in private hands. in 2005 it celebrated its 222nd year of existence. to
underline the long lasting tradition of the house and to strengthen its
visual presence, the existing logo was slightly straightened and darkened.
pantone® reflex blue was chosen for the new CI colour. all changes were
kept sublininal.
the slogan „wissen und bildung“ („knowledge and education“) stands for
the scope of the house and picks up the initials of the founder.
luc
a lettering on the left of the logo was added to enable the use as a word
and design mark.
the covers of the scientific book line have been redesigned, too.

primarily, clutter had to be reduced. the surrounding buildings were then
added to the deliberations. that way the whole street received an upgrade.
simple, easy to follow guidelines for the window decoration were established
and have been followed until today.
this design was conceived and visualized in 3-d, then put into reality.

in 2002, the family-owned tradition-rich firm celebrated its 150th jubilee.
to this cause the management compiled an extensive historical documentation.

the existent design was completey reinterpreted, the column reduced to its
striae, the readibilty was enhanced.
in almost every medical practice, certificates with this logo can be found.

the institute needed its print media to be worked over.
the logo was slightly redesigned in the course of making it a scalable vector
image. the festive red version was made to resemble a china ink stamp.
meanwhile the institue has been integrated into the clerical college of
education vienna / krems.
