one action interrupted another in the past. We use the Past Progressive for
the longer action and the Past Simple for the shorter action. In this case, we
usually use while, when, as

We use the comparative of adjectives
when we compare two people, animal or
things. The two basic ways to compare
are using as .. as or than

When comparing with than some changes to the
adjective are necessary, depending on the number of
syllables the adjective has

 This computer is better than that one.
 It's much colder today than it was yesterday.
SUPERLATIVES
Superlatives are used when we compare one
person, animal or thing with several of the
same kind.

One-syllable adjectives ending in –e take –
