2. PDH
In PDH, students are taught valuable life skills, such
as responsible decision-making, and building up
trust networks.
3. PDH
A holistic approach is used, where the focus is on
student health not just physically, but also
emotionally, psychologically, and socially – to
name a few (Meldrum & Peters, 2012, p. 192). If
students have a sense of overall wellbeing, they
are far likelier to achieve in other areas of
schooling (and life!).
4. PE
Obesity and diabetes rates among children have
increased in Australia (Meldrum & Peters, 2012, p.
4), so it is more important than ever to ensure they
are physically active.
Some children are not encouraged
to spend any time outside or be active
in their home life, so it is up to teachers
to ensure they get the chance at
school.
