one is downstairs.
 Check with a librarian at the Reference Desk or the
Circulation Manager to obtain the password to log
on.
 Once logged onto the computer, select and click on

Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. It involves
a public school, a student, social media, the school’s
punishment of the student’s off campus speech, and the
student’s free speech rights that the school allegedly
violated.
 What do I do?
 Decide which database/library/jurisdiction to use. It
is given here. 4th Circuit.
 Formulate the issue. Whether a public school can
regulate a student’s off campus digital speech without
violating the First Amendment?
 Develop search terms and a search query: “public
