first three months of /1net discussion
1. /1net discussion : first three months
[i-coordination] and [discuss] mailing lists
2. start
• During the Internet Governance Forum in Bali, efforts were made to
engage with a broad community to strengthen the multi-stakeholder
Internet governance framework.
• An email list ‘i-coordination@nro.net’ was launched for this purpose.
There were 27 subscribers to this list when the first message was sent by
Adiel Akplogan on October 26th, 2013.
• The objectives evolved into an “open, global online discussion about
Internet governance”, under a platform named /1net . The original mailing
list transitioned into ‘discuss@1net.org’ on December 19th, 2013.
• By December 31st, 2013, the [discuss] mailing list had 566 subscribers.
