    B. manifest the value of using subject-verb agreement in communication through
        “KNOW-WHAT-LEARNED-HOW” chart completion; and
    C. construct grammatical sentences in relation to subject-verb agreement through
        “KNOW-WHAT-LEARNED-HOW” chart completion.

C.DEEPEN
1. What is the importance of knowing the subject-verb
agreement? How can you apply it in your daily lives?
2. Just like in your agreements with others, how important is it to
conform to agreements? Is it good to forget your agreements
with others? Why or why not?

       Writing, a skill required by many jobs on the planet,
       contains many chances for mistakes that can make
       your writing unclear or even unreadable. Understanding
       the significance behind subject-verb agreement can
       help you write better and make your writing much easier
       to understand.
       To communicate clearly in the English language, you
       must match a singular subject with a singular verb and
       a plural subject with a plural verb.

Activity:
Let’s fill out the chart “KNOW-WHAT-LEARNED-HOW?
    1. Now, fill out the “LEARNED” part by answering your own
          questions on the “WANT” part as well as what new
          information you have learned.
    2. Fill out also the “HOW” part based on what you’ve
          learned, students will share how they will use what they
          have learned in their daily lives by giving concrete
          examples. (sharing of outputs in class)

Assignment:
 Analyze the sentences carefully. Identify the correct verb in the
following sentences. Rewrite the following sentences in your
notebook. Be able to explain why your answers are such.
1. You (love, loves) the country where you (belong, belongs).
2. One-half of the students (are, is) foreigners.
3. Some of the street children (come, comes) from broken
homes.
4. The President, not the senators (discusses, discuss) the
economic breakdown of our country.
5. None but the polite (is, are) kind to me.
6. Noli Me Tangere (is, are) a book written by Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
7. Corazon C. Aquino is the first woman who (have, has) become
president of the Philippines.
