4. Pornography is the portrayal of sexual subject matter
for the purpose of sexual arousal.
The word pornography, derived from the Greek porni
(“prostitute”) and graphein (“to write”), was originally
defined as any work of art or literature depicting the life
of prostitutes.
Pornography, (often abbreviated as "porn" or "porno"
in informal usage) representation of sexual behavior in
books, pictures, statues, motion pictures, and other
media that is intended to cause sexual excitement. The
term applies to the depiction of the act rather than the
act itself, and so does not include live exhibitions like
sex shows and striptease.

online searches is for pornography. Because porn use thrives in
secrecy, many victims today are trapped in a cycle of sin and

Today, 68% of young adult men and 18% of women use porn at
least once every week. Another 17% and another 30% of women
use porn 1-2 times per month. This means for 85% of young
men and nearly half of young women, watching porn is at least a
monthly activity.

infections.

16. Pornography affects all members of the family. Not only
does it eliminate an affectionate family life, children can
experience traumas related to encounters with their parents'
pornographic material.
Pornography changes the habits of the mind, and its use can
easily become habitual, leading to desensitization, boredom,
distorted views of reality, and an objectification of women.
At the moment, there is no strict policy on the use of
internet; therefore we suggest that the government should
impose the strict policies by banning the pornographic
websites.
E.g. The DWU ICT department blocking the certain
websites.
From the ethical and religious perspectives, pornography is
considered as unethical and sinful act.
