Oretha and Marcus welcome a tribal member from Liberia to Cleveland and honor the family with food and music.

1. Here are some images from an event hosted by our friends Marcus and Oretha to welcome a tribal member from Liberia to Cleveland, Ohio.

2. Salutations were in order. After proper respect is shown for the host, the honored guest and, above all the elders, the food is blessed and served.

3. The kids enjoyed their own party in the basement! Miss Elizabeth chaperoned.

4. The food included goat with rice and a very spicy beef soup that will make you sweat and swoon and I felt better after I ate it! Plaintains and peppers and chicken were also served along with traditional music.
