3. The largest cross-section of Blackpool accommodation ever to
be judged on Guest experience alone. It is the awards ceremony where
everyone is already a winner!
In deciding who should achieve a Guest is God Certificate, we looked at the
overall average Guest review scores and the amount of reviews available.
Properties must receive 90% or more Guest Satisfaction from online reviews
and have a reasonable, recent amount of reviews to pull the average from.
In 2018, 61 properties spanning Blackpool Hotels, B&Bs, Guest Houses and
Apartments were awarded a Guest is God Certificate, for being absolute
service superstars.
This year that number has risen to over 300!
We have scoured the web to aggregate Guest Satisfaction scores across
the board and celebrate the best of Blackpool.
To further reward and recognise those committed to providing first class
customer service to their Guests and for being a shining example of the future
for Blackpool hospitality, the Guest is God Awards Ceremony is born.
Guest is God Awards Ceremony finalists have been shortlisted for scoring in
the upper echelons of the 90%s relating to Guest Satisfaction and are exactly
the type of businesses already positioned for Blackpool's new and exciting era.
With not a ten-pound room in sight, they place their Guests at the heart of
everything they do and take immense pride in the business they have built up
and how it fits into the bigger Blackpool resort picture. Each excel individually
and are proactive in encouraging a well-rounded experience for visitors, in the
new, all for one and one for all, Blackpool.

4. With Little Touches turning five years old in 2019, now seems a fitting time to
take things up a notch with the Guest is God Awards Ceremony, still
maintaining our popular Certification process, but this year automatically
shortlisting those achieving the scores at the higher end of the scale to be put
up for a physical award in the glitzy surroundings of Viva Blackpool in November.
We are by no means flying solo and are in the very capable hands of Launch
Events NW and Empress of Events Nichola Howard and her team, who have been
right by my side and championed Little Touches for almost our entire existence.
Regardless of whether your property has been shortlisted for an award, if you
are in hospitality or the tourism sector in Blackpool, come and celebrate a

Having met Tom very early on in our businesses we have continued to move
forward at a similar pace with many shared experiences, we share the same

Being able to judge this award based on guest experience alone means there
can be no smoke and mirrors, their customers have spoken, visitors to Blackpool
have spoken and we’ve listened.

Blackpool’s only dedicated hotel award ceremony
and the only UK hospitality awards that are driven
solely by customer experience.
Guest is God as a philosophy comes from founder
Tom’s time spent working at what many people see
as the pinnacle of hospitality and service -
Walt Disney World in Florida.
During his “Traditions” induction training over a
decade ago, the leader of the group made it crystal
clear that above all else “It is always Guest with a
capital G” – something that stayed with him and he’s
never ever wavered from since. In 2014, Little
Touches was created with the purpose of bringing
to the UK hospitality industry a new form of supreme
Guest service and care.
In the last five years Little Touches has built up a
network of over 400 Blackpool properties, that are
an example of those doing things the right way and
share his vision for a future Blackpool, where there’s
not a ten-pound room in sight, great service prevails,
and their rooms are fully booked throughout the
traditional season or for those who want the
business - 52 weeks a year.
