6. Here is my process: I measured 3 people and found that the distance end to end was about 59 inches. Using proportions 3 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒59 𝑖𝑛𝑐h𝑒𝑠=1,000,000,000 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑥 𝑖𝑛𝑐h𝑒𝑠 Solving by using cross-multiplication 1 billion people would be 19,666,666,666 inches Since 1 foot is 12 inches, then 19,666,666,666 𝑖𝑛𝑐h𝑒𝑠12 𝑖𝑛𝑐h𝑒𝑠 = 1,638,888,888 ft. The internet said the circumference of the earth is about 131,479,713.54 ft. This means that 1,638,888,888 𝑓𝑡131,479,713 𝑓𝑡 = 12.5 times around the earth for 1 billion people
7. My bedroom is 10ft X 10Ft x 9ft. This is a standard bedroom with high ceilings. Do you think a billion cheerios would fit in my room?

9. Here’s the math: I took a stack of cheerios and built a 1in x 1in x 1in cube. It took about 20 cheerios to make this cube. I had 5 cheerios in each of the 4 columns. My room is 10ft x 10ftx9ft I decided to change this to inches….120 in. x 120in. X 108 in. This comes out to 1,555,200 cubic inches. After cross-multiplying, I found that I would need 50,000,000 ( 50 million) cubic space. 1 𝑐𝑢𝑏𝑒20 𝑐h𝑒𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑠 = 𝑥 𝑐𝑢𝑏𝑒𝑠1,000,000,000 Yet, I only have 1,555,200 cubic space in my room. How many rooms would I need? This comes out to 32.15 bedrooms that I would need. 1 𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚1,555,200 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑢𝑏𝑒𝑑 =𝑥 𝑏𝑒𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚𝑠50,000,000
