1. Christmas By Leon

2. It was on Christmas Eve. I had the image of a roasting fire, accompanied by dozens of presents at the foot of a glistening Christmas tree.

3. Imagine my excitement when I had that vision, and so I began waiting in my bed, waiting for the day to come. I heard a soft tapping of footsteps, so I rushed down to my Mum shouting: “Get down here! Look! Look!” So, frantically, I pelted down my staircase, to Megan’s room.

4. There were Megan, Mum and Dad, staring out of the window, looking directly at a red figure at the foot of the drive. Mum was a tad bit happy, Dad was gawping at it, and Megan was beginning to wake up, but looked astonished at the sight of this red man. For a short moment, I had no clue what or who this person was. Then I felt like an idiotic nutter, but I didn’t feel like one for long, because there stood fat ol’ Santa Claus, in black and white, well, red and white. He gave all of us a gesture that obviously meant he was telling us to go to sleep.

5. And on Christmas what I imagined became reality. But I may have spoilt it by asking for my overdue pocket money. Merry Christmas!
