2. Business Description California Casualty is an insurance company that started in 1914, they insure government workers all over the country. In 2001 the company created a new branch called Agency Services, this branch sells insurance through other companies to California Casualty’s customers that the company does not offer.

3. IMPORTANT INFORMATION *Agency Services has partnered with Progressive, GeoVera,PetsBest, Foremost, Harford, and RLI. *By doing this the company can offer many other types of Insurance including umbrella, flood, earthquake, pet and motorcycle insurance. *Mission Statement- “To Support the California Casualty code by providing excellent customer service with honesty and integrity, and to meet the customers needs.”

4. Competitive Analysis *This company is very unique in that they are the only company that sells in the way they do to the niche of people they sell to. *California Casualtys biggest competition is Horace Mann because they seel their insurance strictly to teachers. *Horace Mann is not endorsed by the national educators association while California Casualty is which gives them the upperhand. *Horace Mann strictly sells their own insurance which is a plus for them.

5. ACTION PLAN *It is hard for the company to do much advertising since they sell to such a specific niche of people. *They do send representatives out to advertise to teachers, police officers and firefighters. *The company has up a very nice website and keeps getting featured in popular business associated magazines. *The plan is to keep adding more partnerships and associates like they have been doing. *This section of the company has yet to be impacted by the economy they keep expanding more and more.
