Adams Point, Barrington, $2.08M
A home 140 Adams Point Rd. in Barrington sold on May 3 for $2,080,750,
according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.
The sellers, Nancy A. and William J. Gilbane Jr., of Jupiter, Florida, were
represented by Helen Macdonald and Midge Berkery, associates with Mott &
Chace Sotheby’s, and Berkery also facilitated the transaction for the buyer,
identified on the deed as Adams Point, LLC. State corporation records show the
authorized person for the LLC is Byron McMasters of Barrington.
“This unique home on Adams Point Road offers a true boat-lovers paradise
married with expansive greenery and a breathtaking outdoor space,” Macdonald
said.
Matunuck home brings $1.85M
A home at 454 Matunuck Beach Rd. in South Kingstown sold on May 1 for
$1,850,000 by Lori Joyal, managing broker of Lila Delman Real Estate
International’s Watch Hill office. Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty
represented the buyer.
The 2,710-square-foot waterfront home is on 3.85 acres and has five bedrooms,
an in-ground saltwater pool and a dock. According to town records, the seller
was the Garvey-Bell Family Trust.

East Side home brings $1.057M
On April 28, Residential Properties Ltd. completed the sale of 45 Winfield Rd. in
Providence’s East Side for $1,057,000. The seller, Seong Ah Park, was
represented by Rebecca Mayer. Buyers Christopher and Kerin Winship Lowe
were represented by Kevin Fox.
The house, built in 2000, is near Blackstone Boulevard.
Commercial property in Newport, $1.9M
A commercial property in Newport, 429-431 Thames St., was recently sold for
$1.9 million.
Annie Becker, an associate of Lila Delman Real Estate International, represented
the buyer, Lees Wharf LLC. State corporation records list the authorized person
of the LLC as Gregory Gentile. The sellers are Lawrence and Bernadette Gotch
of Spring Hill, Florida, according to the deed, recorded in Newport on April 28.
The sellers were represented by Elmehdi Mechtaly of Keller Williams.
The mixed-use building includes two retail spaces, five residential units and a
garage within two buildings. It is in Newport’s waterfront business zone, which
allows for commercial use and short-term residential rentals, according to the
Delman agency.
Newport property listed for $12M
Kate Leonard of Lila Delman Real Estate International recently listed “Ker
Arvor,” a mansion built in the 1930s at 275 Harrison Ave. in Newport, for $12
million.
The property is owned by Maureen Donnell, whose late husband, John R.
Donnell, was a member of the family that founded Marathon Oil. The 21-room
home is on 9.1 acres near the Newport Country Club. The U-shaped house
design was inspired by the La Lanterne hunting lodge in Versailles, France.
