A waterfront house at 145 Cliff Drive, in the Anawan Cliffs section of
Narragansett, was sold on Jan. 6 for $2.75 million.
The 4,760-square-foot home has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half
bathrooms, and a private in-law suite. The buyers are native Rhode Islanders
Kevin and Michelle Masse, who had been looking to buy a home in Narragansett
for 10 years, according to John Krekorian of ReMax Flagship in Narragansett,
who represented them in the sale.
The seller was Pauline E. Cohen, of Providence, represented by Dale Denelle of
Denelle Realtors. Town records indicate she purchased the house in 1978.
Newport condo sells for $1.4M
A waterfront penthouse condominium at Coddington Landing in Newport, with
views of Newport Harbor, sold on Jan. 20 for $1.4 million, according to Lila
Delman Real Estate International.
The condo has panoramic water views and a boat slip, according to Alyce
Wright, a sales associate at Lila Delman, who represented the seller in the sale.
The residence also offers deeded rights to a 37-foot boat slip at the Coddington
Landing Marina.

2. Deed records identify the seller as Carlysle Engineering Inc. of Massachusetts
and the buyer as Christopher D'Angelo of Cranston. Stacie Mills of Vanderbilt
International Properties represented the buyer.
Lila Delman agent top seller in R.I.
Lori Joyal, of Lila Delman Real Estate International, posted the highest
individual sales volume for a real-estate agent in Rhode Island in 2016, with
$66,872,850 in sales, according to the agency, which cited data from the
Statewide Multiple Listing Service.
Joyal is the managing broker of Delman's Watch Hill office, is licensed in both
Rhode Island and Connecticut, and specializes in second-home and coastal
market sales.
Honored for preservation work
The Providence Preservation Society presented Richard Godfrey, the former
executive director of Rhode Island Housing, with a Preservation Award for
Community Involvement during the Jan. 19 meeting of the Providence
Revolving Fund.
"The award credits Godfrey with transforming Rhode Island Housing into an
agency that unites the goals of affordable housing and historic preservation," PPS
said. "During Godfrey's tenure as executive director of RI Housing (1993-2015),
the agency became an early leader in restoring buildings, bringing jobs
downtown and working with local organizations and developers to create
housing throughout the Capital City."
"As an architect, a planner and a municipal bond attorney, he had all the skills.
But every day he used the most important ingredients - he had vision, passion
and the perseverance to make it happen," James V. DeRentis, former chair of the
board of Rhode Island Housing, said in the award nomination.
Realtors grant deadline Feb. 15
Feb. 15 is the deadline for nonprofit groups to apply for first-quarter grants from
The Realtor Foundation: Rhode Island. The grants are aimed to support its
mission to help those affected by a personal or natural disaster. In 2017, the

3. foundation expects to provide up to $5,000 quarterly to selected nonprofit
organizations.
Only nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations operating within Rhode Island are
eligible for grant consideration. Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
The community need for this grant, and the number of people it will serve; the
impact on the recipient organization; the location of the community served; the
financial soundness and efficiency of the organization; the accuracy and
completeness of the application; and the structure of volunteer organization and
level of volunteer support.
An application form, complete instructions, and more information can be found
on the foundation's website at realtorfoundationri.org. The deadline to apply for
the first quarter grant disbursement is 5 p.m. Feb. 15.
Residential agent had hand in $1M sale
Residential Properties Ltd. announced that one of its agents, Denise D'Amico of
the East Greenwich office, represented the buyers in the Dec. 28 sale of 110
Tipping Rock Rd. in East Greenwich, which sold for $1 million.
The house is a custom-built brick manor built in 2000 with 5,100 square feet of
living space. The property includes an entertainment complex, in-ground pool,
hot tub, lounge house with wet bar and an outdoor fireplace. According to town
records, the sellers were Robert and Ann McCann. The listing agency was
Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Gammons Realty of East Greenwich.
