5. Mozilla's Open Innovation Program
WebFWD ("Web Forward") is Mozilla's Open
Innovation program. We support Open Source
projects which extend the Web — providing
participants with mentorship from industry
experts, access to the Mozilla global network, as
well as infrastructure and other world-class
resources.
WebFWD gives us a chance to help builders and
entrepreneurs worldwide to create open solutions
that push the Web forward, empowering users
with choice and control of their online lives.

12. The Program
A minimum six-month engagement with Mozilla
WebFWD
Access to our worldwide network of
Mozillians, experts, mentors, partners and scouts
Infrastructure support including hosting, project
management & design tools, and professional
services e.g. legal counsel, etc.
Coaching and ongoing feedback through mentorship
and live participation at our weekly LearnFWD
webinars
Participation in key WebFWD events such as
Summits, Hack Days and other local events, for
deeper engagement with Mozilla and the WebFWD
community

Pascal Finette
Pascal Finette is Director of Mozilla's
Open Innovation Group, where he
works with the wider community
inventing the future of the Web
Diane Bisgeier
Diane Bisgeier is Program Manager for
WebFWD, helping Pascal to build the
program through
partnerships, curriculum development
and process improvements, supporting
the teams, and build it out through
promotions, marketing, events and
general shenanigans.
14. What is Makeweekend?
• A two and a half day programme where you can learn to
rapidly build prototypes of solutions to problems they
have identified
• We'll be bringing in industry mentors to guide and assist
the participants to make their projects better
• we'll be giving out prizes:
1. The State Innovation Award, where the winning team
will be coming down to KL to attend the Anugerah
C1PTA, meet with other state innovation winner
2. Best Prototype Award
3. People's Choice Award
