With the release of
Webcaster 7, we have
introduced a range of new
features, many of these were
presented at the last user
group.

Now that Webcaster 7 is being actively rolled out, clients are benefitting
from the ‘auto archive’ feature.

The portable unit has been a popular addition
as a Connect webcasting option, we have
recently designed and built the new R700
model - keeping all the unique qualities of the
previous R600 model whilst ensuring quality
and robustness for both SD and HD live
streaming.

It functions as your complete webcasting
system with the ability to input HD cameras via
HD-SDI, HTMI along with the usual composite
signal. Its streams via H.264 video and AAC
audio with multi bit-rate functionality.

JIT SLIDES
Broken images coming through on the
webcast which so far has been due to
restrictions with the connection or the images
being too big and taking too long to upload.
There are now different options to manage
the slides such as image size and image
format, to keep them within the capabilities of
the connection.
Main problem is that the translation doesn't
work on the live webcast (mostly due to how
the translator manages this from the booth -
overriding etc). Also, when autoarchiving
operators don't action it from the slave
machine so regularly clients are asking why
only one language has been archived. This
may be more of a training point.

We will be introducing a fix in a few weeks.

With the updated STUDIO roll out Publisher is
now part of Webcaster7 as well as a
standalone, we know that uploading has not
been removed, so we will introduce this back
to the software to allow uploading of content
without publishing.
