The chart composed of CRITERIA, IWCF, DWCF and
COMMENTS. For the mean score of ICWF the content or
nilalaman got 12.05 with a comment of very poor while
in DWCF got a 23.53 mean score with a comment of
Good to Average. In Organization or organisayon the
mean for ICWF is 11.58 with Fair to Poor Comment while
in DWCF got 15.53 mean with a comment of Good to
Average. Another criteria which is the Vocabulary with
mean score of 11.48 in IWCF with a comment of Fair to
Poor while in DWCF the vocabulary got 15.53 with a
comment of Good to Average. For the Gramatika the
mean IWCF is 13.1 with a comment of Fair to Poor while
in the DWCF of the said criteria is 19.94 with a comment
of Good to Average. 2.71 mean score got of the
mechanics with a comment of Fair to Poor and 4.23 for
DWCF with Good to Average comment.

Based on the result of computed T-test for the significant difference of IWCF and DWCF
it shows that the null hypothesis is reject. The Nilalaman or content got -29.05 with
a significant level of 0.05. The Organization got -20.79, Vocabulary is -20.06, Grammar
is -24.41 and the Mechanics is -24.38 which means the Rejection of Null hypothesis is
quit evident.
The DWCF is more important to give reliable and meaningful feedback to the students
after the teachers discussed the proper way of writing an essay compare to ICWF that
just only based on their prior knowledge or experiences on writing essay.

During the stage of Indirect Written Corrective Feedback (IWCF)
A lot of concerns in writing an essay for selected Grade 7
students was arise in terms of the criteria from the instrument
used in checking their output. The students has a difficult in
writing an essay due to the following reason
1. Students donât have enough exposure in writing essay in
Filipino
2. There is no enough support coming from the parents
3. Most of the students donât know how to express their
thoughts
4. They are not aware of the format in the proper way of writing
5. Most of the selected Grade 7 students has no idea regarding
the importance of writing an essay.
