9. Recurring Characters
• Yassen Gregorovich: The recurring villain that you love to hate. One of the
best assassins in the world, Yassen killed Ian Rider and has more than one
chance to kill Alex, but always seems to spare his life.
• Alan Blunt: He is the head of the M16 organization that takes in Alex after his
uncles death. Blunt is all work and no play. He is emotionally unattached to his
spies and doesn’t care what it takes to get a “Mission Accomplished”
• Mrs. (Tulip) Jones: Second in charge at M16, Mrs. Jones is more
compassionate than Blunt. She shows true concern for Alex during his
missions and isn’t fully on board with the use of a child spy.
• Jack Starbright: Formerly Ian Rider’s housekeeper, Jack is a twenty
something American who serves as Alex’s legal guardian after Ian’s death. She
is Alex’s best friend and plays a big sister role.
• Sabina Pleasure: Alex’s main love interest, they met when her family was
used to set up his cover story. She or her family members seem to be popular
enemy targets.

11. Reviews
Stormbreaker – Fourteen year old, Alex Rider's world is turned upside down when he discovers that his
uncle and guardian has been murdered. The novel provides bang after bang as Alex experiences and
survives unbelievably dangerous episodes and eventually saves the day. Alex is a strong, smart hero. If
readers consider luck the ruling factor in his universe, they will love this James Bond-style adventure. With
short cliff-hanger chapters and its breathless pace, it is an excellent choice for reluctant readers.
Lynn Bryant, formerly at Navarre High School, FL. From School Library Journal
Point Blank -- A sequel shaken - not stirred … Girls and guys alike will enjoy this fast-paced, action-
packed novel. I can't wait until the next book in this series comes out. I have also recommended these books
to my brother who reads Tom Clancy and he enjoyed them too. The best part about this Alex Rider
adventure is that the end will leave you thinking about the book for a long time (but if I tell you why it will ruin
the ending so you have to read this book for yourself). Erika Soeterik (Auckland, New Zealand.) From
Amazon Customer Reviews.
Skeleton Key -- the sequel to Stormbreaker and Point Blank, is surely the best book in this gripping teen
spy series. A terrific book that will having you struggle to put it down as you dive into the world of
international spies, crazy military men and truly gripping suspense. I gave this book 5 stars, and it deserves
6, so read it now and find out why! Tom Harrison (Melbourne, Australia.) From Amazon Customer Reviews.
Scorpia Rising --This was the most amazing book, by far my favorite in the Alex Rider!! It was just shock
after shock, I was never off the edge of my seat trying to anticipate what would happen next. Major
suspense, action-adventure and even if we didn’t know for sure that this was going to be the last book in the
series you could tell by reading it, the whole book rings of finality. If there is one problem I have with the
book it was that, there will not be anymore Alex Rider books which makes me want to cry but at the same
time happy. Holly X, Fullmoonbites Book Reviews
