The story describes King Midas, who wished for everything he touched to turn to gold because he thought it would make him happy. However, he soon realized that being unable to eat or interact with anything without it becoming gold only made him sad. He asked for the gift to be taken away so that he could be happy again without everything turning to precious metal.

King Midas felt very sad.
“I wish for no more gold ,” he said.
He got his wish.
