This document discusses natural resources, their conservation, and related concepts. It defines natural resources as materials that come from nature, like air, water, forests, fossil fuels, and minerals. Renewable resources can regenerate, while non-renewable resources do not renew or only renew slowly. The document outlines various methods for conserving forests, soil, water, energy, fossil fuels, and minerals. It also discusses the importance of environmental awareness, sustainability, and public participation in conservation efforts.
3. Introduction
A natural resource is anything
people can use which comes from nature.
People do not make natural resources, but
gather them from the earth.
Examples of natural resource are
air,water,wood,crude oil,solar energy,wind
energy,hydroelectric energy,coal,etc. Refined
oil is not a natural resource, for example,
because people make it.
4. Natural Resources
• Renewabel Resources
A renewabel resources grows
again or comes back again after we use it. For
example sunlight,water,tress, etc.
• Non-Renewabel Resources
A non-renewabel resources that
does not grow or come back,or a resourse that
would take a very long time to come back.
Renewabel Resources Non-Renewabel
Resources
5. Conservation of Natural
ResouresesThe term “Conservation ” is derived from two latin
words “con” & “serve”means to “keep together”. Thus
conservation is a practise embracing, maintaince,
sustainable utilization restoration and enchancement of
natural environmental
• The major important natural resourses are
• Forest resourses
• Soil resourses
• Water resourses
• Energy resourses
• Fossil fuel resourses
• Mineral resourses
6. Conservvation Of Forest
Protection of growing trees from fire, insects
and disease.
Proper harvesting methodsand adopt proper
controlmeasures for deforestations
Forest can be conserved through:
9. Energy Conservation
Reduse the amount of energy used in
domestic and industrial purpose.
Recycle and glass,metals and paper.
Drive less make fewer trips and use public
transportaion, whenever possible.
10. Conservation Of Fossil Fuel
Solar energy
Wind energy
Tidal energy
Geothermal energy
Hydro Electrical energy
12. Wildlife Conservation
In-situe preservation
• National Park
• Sancturay
• Biosphere Reserves
Ex-situe preservation
• Botanical garden for
plants
• Zoological parks for
animals.
Wildlife conservation involves the
provisions ofadequate natural food and shelter to
maintain population of each spices in a given habit.
Wildlife has to Conserve through.
13. Environmental Awareness
The importance of environmental study is to
deal with the most common issues like safe and clean
drinking water, hygenic living conditions, clean and fresh air,
fertileland, healthy food and development that is sustainable.
To develop skills for identifying and solving environmental
problems and to know the necessity of conservation of
natural resources.
Hence,the environmental studies are very
essential that we want to live in a clean ,healthy ,beautiful
and safe environment for along time and wish to hand over
a clean and safe earth to our children, good-children and
great grand children.
14. Need for Public Awarness
Increasing population, Urbanisation and poverty
have generated pressure on the natural resources and
lead to the degradation of the environment. Public
participation is possible only when the public is aware
about the ecological and environmental issues.
There is a chinese proverb state that
“If you plan for one year, plant rice, if you
plan for 10 year, plant trees and if you plan for 100
years, educate people.”
15. Concept Of Sustainability
It is desirable to achieve a more balanced and
equitable distribution of global resources and income
to meet everyones basic needs.
The rich countries will have to lower down their
consumption levels while the base minimum needs
of the poor have to be fullfill providing them
resources.
A fairer sharing of resources will narow down The
gap between the reach and the poor and will lead to
sustainable development for all.
16. Natural Environmental is characterized by natural components. It
involves living and non-living things around us which influences
one another. Natural resources is the part of the natural
environment. It is anything people can use which comes from
nature. It involves different types of resources and their
conservation. Forest are one of the most important renewabel
natural resources on their earth. Environmental awarness and
sustainability also part of the resources.
