A few more ideas for using Padlet
• Towards the end of the lesson ask students to post 1 thing they have learnt in the
lesson on Padlet
• Summary writing: When the class reads a paragraph and each student has to
write a summary individually, students can post their summaries on Padlet to be
discussed in groups or as a class, with input from the teacher regarding style,
grammar, content, etc.
• Summary writing - listening: Students listen to a video clip and then write a
summary in pairs and put it on Padlet. Teachers and students can then look at
each other’s summaries and make suggestions etc.
• Vocabulary Competition: Students in pairs post a word and other pairs have to
add the definition, synonym etc.

  • 2. What is Padlet? • An electronic sticky note board • A tool for collaboration – brainstorming, creating work together and sharing Create the board Share the link Teacher and students write or add links, pictures, files to the board
  • 3. Give Padlet a try! • Log onto the link to a padlet page http://padlet.com/carol_wild/TechnologyWorksh op • Double-click anywhere on the board and start writing! Write 1 sentence about you. You can also add pictures, links to documents, videos, audio files etc. • You can create and write on a Padlet board using a PC or download the app to a tablet or phone.

A few more ideas for using Padlet • Towards the end of the lesson ask students to post 1 thing they have learnt in the lesson on Padlet • Summary writing: When the class reads a paragraph and each student has to write a summary individually, students can post their summaries on Padlet to be discussed in groups or as a class, with input from the teacher regarding style, grammar, content, etc. • Summary writing - listening: Students listen to a video clip and then write a summary in pairs and put it on Padlet. Teachers and students can then look at each other’s summaries and make suggestions etc. • Vocabulary Competition: Students in pairs post a word and other pairs have to add the definition, synonym etc.
