FESTIVAL DELLA CREATIVITA' 2009 a FIRENZE
Appuntamento con WideTag Inc., pionieristica azienda italo-californiana dedita alla Internet of Things: una sessione aperta sulle interfacce fisiche di nuova concezione collegate all’utilizzo dei social network; come nascono, come si progettano, come cambiano i rapporti tra le persone.

5. Internet degli Oggetti
Even if the Internet appears ubiquitous, the number of connected objects
and devices is still vastly inferior to those which are not connected.
The coming revolution will raise from the necessity of substituting
disconnected objects with connected ones, and making these more and
more intelligent, and aware.
We call this new step: The Internet of Things

7. Internet degli Oggetti
• Web 1: I dati sono delocalizzati
• Web 2.0: Dati e le applicazioni sono delocalizzate,
emergono i network sociali
• Internet of Things
Le componenti del sistema sono delocalizzate ed
emergono network misti persone/macchine (ad
autonomia crescente).

11. Persone e/come Sensori

12. CO2: First Spime Ever
WideTag technology enables individuals and corporations to
better understand their environment, through the use of a series
of GPS-enabled sensors. We provide a set of open APIs and
communication protocols to manage the data collected.
This video demonstrates the functionality of a working
OpenSpime prototype detection CO2 levels.

14. Il Rumore come oggetto sociale
WideNoise to let all familiarize with the concept of spimes
What is WideNoise? It is an OpenSpime inspired iPhone application. With WideNoise you can
monitor the noise levels around you, everywhere you go.You can also check the online map to see
the average sound level of the area around you. Do you live in a “sleeping cat area” or in a more noisy
“rock concert area”?
We hope that WideNoise will be successful in illustrating with its example a series of possible
applications on the iPhone, which is a wonderful, human powered and dispersed spime.

Oakland Crimespotting is an interactive map of crimes in Oakland and a tool for understanding crime
in cities. If you hear sirens in your neighborhood, you should know why. Crimespotting makes this
possible with interactive maps, e-mail updates, and RSS feeds of crimes in areas that you care about.

Interfacce Emozionali per caratteri digitali basati su intelligenza artificiale (from GUI to eUI, September

Elettronica a bordo
- accelerometro (shock)
- light detection (carezza)
- vibrazione (feedback)
- suoni (feedback)
- microfono (presenza)
- 2 led/color indipendenti (feedback)
Firmware
(comportamento) base. L’interazione con il mondo esterno
genera delle reazioni. Il behaviour è modificabile attraverso
apposite interfacce web.
