How I've used Different types of technology to create the blog and all that's in it.

1. Use of new media

2. Blogger
 This blog that I’ve been working on for the past months is a good example
of new media. Websites such as blogs are considered to be new media.
 If this media project was to create an actual movie of 90min, main genre
thriller or horror, then the blog could be used for virtual marketing or to
attracting audience as well as getting feedback and asking for
improvements or ideas.

3. Adobe Flash player (CS4)
 Adobe Flash player or AF for short, has been used for animating the story
boar and for animating our company ident and other projects if needed
animated. As a team we were planning to edit the film title “Missing
Jamie”.
 This software allows me to make static images into moving images
creating a new interface for the audience to enjoy.
 The program is easy to use and I have past experience with it, reusing this
software was a peace of cake, and I had fun reusing it.

4. Adobe Fireworks (CS4)
 Adobe Fireworks (CS4) or AF for short, is a image editing software that
allows users to cut, inserted resize parts or whole images, also allows users
create images.
 I have some experience with this program but it’s functionalities are
limited, when it comes to removing parts from a picture sometimes I have
to remove pixel by pixel in different areas, which ends up to be time
consuming.
 This software allows me to create transparent backgrounds for images
very useful for animations.
 This program was used to edit our first idea of the ident.

5. Adobe Photoshop (CS4)
 Adobe Photoshop (CS4) or AP for short, is a photo editing software that
allows the user to modify and create static pictures.
 I have no experience with this software but I had to used it to edit images.
 Over-all Photoshop is better that Fireworks when it comes to creating
images, this is one of the reasons why I had to learn how to use this
program.
 The program and its tool were easy to learn, after a bit of proactive and
messing around with images I figured what each tool does and got a
basic understating of what this software can do.
 This software has been used to create static images of our ident. Some of
the static pictures made were used in the ident animation.

6. Slideshare
 Online website that allows file to be published, and view by other people,
this is a great way to publish new ideas, and to presented them to the
target audience.
 In the comment section people can comment and give feedback that
can be used to improve the film.
 Once a file is uploaded we can get it’s hyperlink and use it on the block
HTTP section to uploaded the file.
 No experience with this sort of website so I had to do few experiments
before getting the hang of it.

7. (Microsoft) PowerPoint Presentation
 This program has been used to write presentation and uploaded them on
to Slideshare so I can upload the presentation into my blog.
 I know how to use this software as I have been introduce to it few years
ago and used it since.
 Allows the user to create a professional presentation depending on the
users skill and knowledge of software.

8. Sony Vegas Pro 12.0
 A professional and complex editing software that allows users to
manipulate static/moving pictures and sounds.
 It’s DVD came with the buying of pc, I didn’t really use it or took any time
to learn it on it’s arrival. Therefore when it was time to edit my preliminary I
took some time to learn it.
 This software allows me to give the audience a finished product.

9. Other…
I’ve also used other minor platforms and software such as: Issuu, Microsoft
word document and adobe SoundBooth that I didn’t mention early.
Reason is I’ve didn’t go in so much detail with this new media they have
been used for only one small part of the project.
