This document provides an overview of topics related to mitochondria that will be covered, including:
- Mitochondrial structure and function
- Aerobic metabolism in mitochondria
- The role of anaerobic and aerobic metabolism in exercise
- Oxidative phosphorylation and ATP formation
- Electron transport chain complexes
- Establishing a proton motive force
- ATP synthase structure
- The mechanism of ATP formation using the proton gradient
- Peroxisomes and human diseases resulting from abnormal mitochondrial or peroxisomal function
2. TEMAS A ABORDAR
7. Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun
and the smallest one in the entire Solar
System. This planet's name has
nothing to do with the liquid metal,
since Mercury was named after the
Roman messenger god
Despite being closer to the Sun than
Venus, Mercury’s temperatures aren't
as terribly hot as that planet's. Its
surface is quite similar to that of Earth's
Moon, which means there are a lot of
craters and many plains, too
