У меня зазвонил телефон.
- May I talk to Natasha Cooper?
Как ответить, что это я? - В третьем лице:
- This is she.
А мужчина скажет о себе:
- This is he.
Кстати, тот и другой могут сказать:
- Speaking.
Или представиться в ответ по имени:
This is Natasha Cooper.
Если просят кого-то из домочадцев:
- Just a moment.
Интересуетесь, кто звонит?
- May I ask who’s calling?
Их нет дома?
- He is not in right now. Или:
- She is not in right now.
Хотите спросить, что передать?
- Would you like to leave a message?
Трудно записать имена или названия?
- Could you spell that for me?
Хотите что-то переспросить?
- Could you repeat that please?
Необходимо перепроверить важную информацию?
- Let me read this back to you.
Правильно ли вы записали номер телефона? Хотите убедиться?
- Let me double-check your phone number.
Непременно передадите информацию?
- I'll give him the message. Или:
- I'll give her the message.
Проследите за тем, чтобы он непременно перезвонил?
- I'll have him call you. Или:
- I'll have her call you.
Ну а что, если вопрос не терпит отлагательства?
Cоветуете позвонить на работу:
- You may call him at work. Или:
- You may call her at work.
И ту же дайте номер рабочего телефона:
Let me give you the number.
А может лучше связаться по сотовому телефону?
- Would you like his cell phone number? Или:
- Would you like her cell phone number?
