My Journey In My Life
This life so far has brought me through many journeys. The experiences I have had taught me so
much, I can't even fully explain. I am thankful for all the lessons I have learned through these
experiences. God is my everything and is the only reason for my life. He has showed me the
meaning of many things and is directing me to the right path.
Therfore, the first influencial person is Jesus. He has been present for every single thing I have been
through. Times like lonileness and failure he brought me up, and I couldn't be happier. In elementary
school and some part of middle school I felt alone. I did not have any friends, no one to play with,
and understand me. When I continued to pray to Jesus for friends, for understaning of others, and
the feeling of being cared for and loved. After some time my prayers were finally answered. I
began to have friends who were supportive and caring, I had a whole squad to play with and
socialize with, I finally gained true friends who would understand me, and it still means so much
to me. When I was in middle school I was not so focused on school work and I definetly did
struggle. I had many bad grades and I knew I could do better and priortize my life. I began to
become very studious and dedicate myself to my core classes. The result of my commitment
changed my grades into passing and over the top. I also prayed to Jesus through that journey and he
strenghtened me. I believe Jesus has to be one of the most influencial in my life. I

Personal Narrative- Life as a Journey Essay
Personal Narrative– Life as a Journey
The journey of life follows a predetermined pattern; we evolve from needing influence and
guidance to finally reaching that point where our lives are up to us. I consider myself very lucky up
to this point in my journey. Some people become sidetracked and wind up on a far different course
than initially planned, but the detours I made have only assisted in embellishing the individual
instead of devouring it.
According to Freud a person's most important period to grow personality ranges from birth to six
years. In that span my biggest influences came from my family. When I think of that time before
kindergarten, the single most important person to my development was my grandmother Carmen. She

I hadn't shown up to bowling that morning so he called my house then came to the hospital.
Nobody made him come to see me so quickly but he did. I will never forget the look in his face as
he stared down at me. Hopefully every young person can look at two loving parents for guidance
and help. I know how fortunate it is that I live with both of my natural parents, and that they both
want the best for me. My parents embedded the values I cherish today into my spirit: the
difference between right and wrong, the correct way to deal with anger, the importance of
dedication and hard work in life. Those seem like cliques yet society refuses to hold those basic
principles sacred anymore. I consider it an honor and privilege to have parents with common sense
and self–worth.
Other things have also affected the path I continue on today. Music certainly opened doors and
unfounded emotions. Playing the saxophone, conducting, and even composing allowed this
aestheticism to flow out from the depths of my being. Without becoming an artist I certainly would
not understand my potential or the self–discipline reaching a particular goal entails. Listening to
poetry and music has helped to forge the Rick of today. The sonnets of William Shakespeare and
symphonies of Beethoven express desires and feelings that I have yet to even discover. Without
those outlets to describe the indescribable, I would probably be a more isolated and confused person
than I am today.
Now that I have

Every day the thought of giving up crosses my mind. I think whether the end of this journey is
worth the stress and the obstacles down the road. Everyone around me complain about how hard
it is, but I've only seen one person push through it all, and that is my cousin, Michelle. She lives a
life of examples to follow. She is the one that makes me believe in myself and pushes me to be the
better version of myself. After watching "Why Most People Die by 25" by Prince Ea, it
reminded me so much of Michelle. She has done so much in her 23 years of age. She made me
realize that what that video mentions is true. She has demonstrated that no matter how hard the
journey is the ending is always so much better. My goals are what will keep me going these next
few years and knowing if I am even half the person Michelle is I will be highly satisfied. In the next
ten years, I plan on graduating college with my Spanish major and becoming an educator, traveling
all Central and South America, and start building my life with my future husband. First, finishing
my education and becoming a Spanish teacher will be my biggest accomplishment. There is
something about helping others that brings joy to me. School has always been my number one
priority. I have dedicated countless hours to make sure that all my assignments and quizzes were
done on time. The studying for exams was gruesome, but in the end helped me tremendously. There
has been stressful situations in the past and I am positive there

My Journey As A Personal Journey In My Life
When teenagers transition from the simpler days, such as riding a bicycle, to the world of young
adulthood and responsibilities, there are a lot of adjustments made in the way they live life.
Teenagers learn that not everyone has the free time to draw with Crayola markers and play outside
everyday; they learn that time is precious and it needs to be used wisely as they deal with real–life
problems such as keeping up with academics, staying involved in extracurricular activities and in
the community, deciding what career path to take, maintaining their responsibilities at home, being
a good friend to others, a good follower of their religion, and a good member to their community.
What is unique about teenagers than other age groups is that they must experience a new step of
personal growth: puberty. Being a teenager myself, I have learned that as the years go by, life
definitely gets more challenging, but there is no challenge that I am afraid to accept. The moment I
entered high school was a monumental change in my life. I walked in with one goal in mind: I
want to be involved. Three years have passed and I am proud to say that I accomplished that big
aspiration of my 14–year–old self. Finding balance is certainly the key to keep moving forward in
life. As I maintain a big plate of responsibilities consisting of my job, future career, family, friends,
and school, all of these parts in my life have encouraged my growth as an individual: physically,
mentally, and emotionally. My spectacular abilities and inner spirit are shining and flourishing
more than they have ever been my entire life. At this point in time, I can absolutely look back at
my 17 years of life and humbly say, "I made it." One of the first things that is advised when you
enter high school is to be involved. At the time, it was such a broad statement that I was confused
on what it meant to "be involved". Slowly enough, I found myself falling into place in a myriad of
clubs and activities I never thought I would see myself being apart of. Besides being a general
member of Best Buddies International and Interact Club, I currently hold a high position in many
others. As president of Key Club International, vice president of Senior Class Council, a

The Importance of Journeys Essay
The Importance of Journeys A thorough study of journeys reveals that a journey is much more than
just movement from one place to another. Journeys are about learning and growth, and they have the
potential to teach people about themselves and the society in which they live. An Imaginative
Journey is one in which the individual doesn't in fact have to go anywhere in the physical sense.
The physical journey is replaced by an expedition that is fuelled by the human capacity to imagine.
Imaginative Journeys create endless possibilities. They can offer an escape from the realities of life,
and are frequently used to comment on social or human traits and characteristics. Imaginative...show

Prospero, on his island, is in command. It is his imagination that has conjured up his scheme for
revenge and the journey is his to have power over. Throughout the play, Prospero also experiences
a journey of wisdom and appreciation. He learns more regarding the social order in which he lives
and experiences self–realisation and discovers his identity. Prospero learns that revenge on his
enemies is not the best answer "Yet with my nobler reason 'gainst my fury Do I take part. The rarer
action is in virtue than in vengeance", and through his change, other characters such as Alonso learn
something about themselves and others such a Miranda and Ferdinand find love– "Beyond all limits
of what else I' th' world, Do love, prize, honour you." The imaginative setting for Prospero's island
allows for the unbelievable to take place. Because of the situation, Shakespeare can exercise his
imagination to generate characters and thoughts that are not possible in a realistic setting. The
island is a place of magic and imagination. The magic of Prospero, Ariel and the other spirits,
Caliban and the masque all persuade the audience, to suspend disbelief and accept imagination.
Shakespeare has created the magic so that the audience will be enticed by the opportunity to escape
from the real world, and experience encounters beyond the surface of the

English Speech– Journeys
"To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive." In other words a journey and the experiences
you have are better than the actual destination. The novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by
Mark Twain and the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost have taught me that journeys may
involves barriers and hardships, they can lead to significant personal change and more importantly
journeys facilitate reflection about how you see yourself, others and the world. Journeys are very
important in personal change and growth. They can also help us in comparing and contrasting new
and old experiences.
Journeys may involve many barriers and hardships and overcoming them can lead to personal change
and growth."The...show more content...
In addition, "The Road Not Taken" also shows us how journeys allow for our reflection on many
things. In the poem the traveller experiences an obstacle or fork in the road. This allows the
traveller to take in his surroundings whether that be the path ahead or the people around him.
This is shown when he states 'two roads diverged in a yellow wood'. The traveller has two options
and to make a decision he has to really explore both of them. Robert Frost uses this poem to
express his belief in not always following the crowd and being an individual. Robert Frost uses
conversational language to create a sense of communication between the traveller and the reader and
to enlighten the reflection that the traveller has made. After comparing both paths and seeing every
option his reflection about his journey changes. The traveller decides to go with the path less
travelled. He decides to be different.
Journeys can lead to significant personal change. The experiences you have on a journey can shape
and change your perception of yourself and the people around you. In 'The Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn' this is shown when Huck's beliefs change and he becomes more mature. Huck
and Jim's relationship also develops throughout the journey. Huck's perception of Jim at the
beginning of the journey is very different compared to the end. At the start Huck doesn't take Jim
very seriously and has no compassion or respect for him. The influences of society have taught

My Journey For My Life
My college applications were complete and I was on top of the world. My father couldn't be
more proud of my accomplishment. His face beamed with excitement as he enthusiastically told
all of his friends, colleagues, and family that I was about to transfer to a university. The rejoicing
didn't last long, and came to an abrupt halt when I witnessed my father having a seizure and
collapsing. He was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor that week and passed away the
following summer, causing my life to take a drastic turn. Since my father was the only person I
relied on, his passing had a major impact on my life. Yet, the hardships subsequent to his passing
played a powerful role in the person I have become and fuel my pursuit of becoming an attorney.
My journey begins long before I was born and began when my parents were Iranian refugees and
escaped the persecution that ensued after the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The political turmoil
led my parents to leave their family and possessions behind as they sought to provide a better life
for their three children in America. Along their journey to the United States, I was born. After
years of strenuous travels, my parents arrived in Los Angeles in February of 1989. Shortly after
arriving, my parents decided to get a divorce. My mother remarried, and I gravitated towards my
father. He embraced me with open arms of love, and told me nothing had changed. At that point it
was clear that my father was my hero. My father supported me

My Personal Journey Essays
Journeys are moments in life that define and reconstruct the myths we create about ourselves and
others. All too often the ideals of a biased community or select group are viewed as the model by
which all individuals must follow. To escape the pressures of a collective standard a person must
travel outside the constraints of a community and discover his or her own true identity. On such a
journey one can expect moments of planned reflection or unexpected instances of revelation. A
journey is every minute of my existence, as I travel through life and try to ascertain my own
presence in its cycle.

I had only been camping once or twice and even then it was with all the comforts of modern
camping gear. Was I ready for this?
As my guide paddled away I looked down at my feet and surveyed the few preparations which I
had brought. I had a sleeping bag; a tarp; a yard of string; two bags of food, which were little more
than fruits, nuts, and cheese; two canteens of warm water; and the clothes on my back, which I had
layered several deep. Before I would even attempt to sort through the real reasons why I had come
on this trip I decided to set camp.
As I looked about me, I saw that there was not one smooth area within a hundred yards. Because I
had to be within whistling distance of my guide, in case of an emergency, I could not wander off.
The first place I looked was the rocky stretch of beach. As I walked along looking for a small cave
or shelter I noticed dozens of minuscule creatures. These were not companions or friendly wild
animals but small biting sand fleas. Now I knew that no matter how much I wanted to assimilate
myself with nature there was a limit to my experience. I just couldn't envision myself happily
brushing off sand fleas all night so I decided to look up in the patch of evergreens that sheltered the
beach. After trudging through soggy moss and swampish soil I found two evergreens that stood
alone on a small cliff. I strung up my tarp to try and create the most comfortable

The Journey Of Life 's Journey
Just as they say life is a journey, the same could be said for English Composition 1.
We begin this journey of life by learning basic skills and tasks such as speaking, understanding,
decision making, etc. Let's begin by acknowledging that life's journey is a difficult, complex
process. It does not come easily; it takes quite a bit of work and thought. However, if you realize
that all of life's journey is a conversation between yourself and an audience, then the task becomes
a little bit easier. If you envision your life as a response to an existing prompt, the way you write
will be shaped by the person's journey with whom you are "speaking." Imagine, for example, that
someone asks you, "Why does it rain?" If that someone were your three–year–old cousin, you might
respond one way, but if it were your sixty–three–year–old aunt, you would likely respond differently.
You will need to approach every bit of life with that same awareness of audience. No matter what
long term journey you pursue, you must be able to communicate effectively and clearly if you want
to be successful. This journey will enhance your ability to do so by improving your critical thinking
and writing skills. You will begin your journey with a unit designed to change the way you think
about writing. First, you will learn to think of writing not as a solitary act but as a conversation
between yourself and an audience. In this, writing becomes a dynamic, interactive, and creative
rather than a

As a very small child I don't remember too much, but the things that I do remember were seen
through a child's eyes that has made me the person that I am today and I will always have those
memory's with me until my last breath on this earth. In this essay I intend to show how my
childhood and adult life to this point has influenced my life, my journey. By utilizing the adult
development theories from this class I also intend on showing how they relate to my Life
experiences and where I am today as an Adult student.
Its funny how as a child you look at things. As time passes, those same child memories become life

down a C.B. antenna and it struck a high power line that ran into the local General Motors plant.
Robbie was killed instantly. As Erickson's stated in his psychosocial development theory, "which
refers to the development within the social environment in which a person lives, primarily
focusing on relationships with other people" (Simanowitz & Pearce. 2003). This had brought
back memories of how my relationship was when we were little. I was always kind of upset with
Robbie because he was one of those kids that had that natural athletic ability. Robbie could run
faster and throw better, do everything better when it came to sports, but the real reason I was
mad at Robbie most of my childhood life was because every time something went wrong, I always
got the blame and in trouble. Mom would say "You're older you should have known better" Yes
she was right most of the time I did know better. I was the middle child and I was always the one
that got into trouble even though Robbie might have done it first. I had a good childhood for the
most part, I can't remember not doing without the things that I really needed as a child. Things like
clothes, food, shelter and love from a family. I recall having my favorite things

Essay on The Journey of Human Life
Some people may describe their lives as being ordinary while others may say that their life is
extraordinary in comparison. People at some point in their lives will have to make decisions that
will take them down different paths, and the paths people choose will determine what journey they
may face and what will become of their future. While human life can be described as a journey, it
is often described as being either a physical or spiritual one for its travelers.
First, human life can be depicted as a spiritual and physical journey for people in life. In the short
story "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce, it tells of a man being hanged over
the edge of the bridge and the events that transpire after the noose around...show more content...
Phoenix says, "'Ghost,' she said sharply, 'who be you the ghost of? For I have heard of nary death
close by" (Welty 315). This shows that she is imagining things in her own way by thinking that
death may have come for her. The ghost may also be considered the bringer of death and she is
not ready for it. When Phoenix reaches the city and is questioned about her grandson's health she
states, "My grandson. It was my memory had left me. There I sat and forgot why I made my long
trip" (Welty 318). Phoenix throughout her journey is waging a battle between her mind and
reality. By the time she reaches her destination her mind was in question on why she was there and
for what reason. The illusion of the scarecrow as a ghost and her mind forgetting her reasons for
her journey represent a spiritual battle for phoenix. These are some reasons why life can be depicted
in a journey.
Furthermore, people can experience a physical and spiritual journey in life. In the poem "The
Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, it tells of a journey that a person has to take when they are
encountered with decisions. Frost writes, "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood," (Line 1). This
line describes a metaphorical situation where a person comes to a point where they have to choose
between two things. Here in the poem he is describing the choice in the way a person should live
life or which path he should make his

My Experience : My Journey In My Life
Throughout my life I have had many experiences or periods of time where I have encountered
many obstacles. From heartache to heartbreak, to being suspended from school, to nearly taking
my own life in order to "live". But I am not here to tell a sob story. After all, I am still here to write
it. I am here to tell the world that despite these setbacks, despite my flaws, and despite these
hurdles, that I am as strong as I've ever been. And I will not let my past hold me back from creating
my destiny. In 2014, the beginning of my freshman year at high school, was an odd time in my life.
As I was walking through the halls of Fort Morgan High School for the first time ever, I couldn't
help but feel terrified, and nervous but at the same time, a feeling of excitement coursing through my
veins. I was finally here, the home stretch. The last few years of school until I get to be sent into the
mysterious world of adulthood. But that was freshman year. I was naive, hopeful, and foolish. The
true hardships wouldn't begin until the following year.
During the first semester of my sophomore year, my entire mindset shifted. I went from a hopeful,
innocent soul to a hardened, emotionless husk of an organism with no will or desire to live. And
it showed, clear as a freshly waxed window. My school work was of terrible quality, my grades
plummeted, my friends felt ashamed to talk to me. I felt completely and utterly alone. So, with no

Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved – Winnie the Pooh. Being a military
kid growing up, for as long as I could remember I have always been moving around, but never out
of the country. I believe in this point in my life I had moved at least six times by now. I was

was both scared and excited. Scared that I would not fit in, but excited to have the opportunity to

journey that has changed me. When my family and I moved from America to Germany, I met new

almost every night. My favorite place to eat was this little vendors' shop right outside of this food
market, I remember every time we went grocery shopping at this location I would ask my dad to
buy me food there. I always got the same thing, every time without fail, two bratwurst links
perfectly grilled with brotchen (a delicious bread roll) and mustard. No drink or any other food
needed. Whether I had already eaten something or not I would beg to eat there. The smell of the
vendors' food was absolutely enticing, the smell of the savory meat being cooked on the grill just
drew me in every time, making my mouth water. Bamberg for me will forever be associated with
great food. My family and I then moved to Baumholder, there I lived for two years. There we got a

Italy, and so many more places. Traveling allowed me to learn and immerse myself in different

My Journey On My Spiritual Journey Essay
As I reflect back on my spiritual journey, I remember times of questioning God, praying in times of
need, and asking why certain things happen the way they do. My journey has brought me through
rough patches of my life and times of life learning lessons. Looking back at the past and up until
now, I was not the one to attend church every Sunday and pray before every meal. I questioned
some of the ways my church wanted us to learn about God. I even questioned God about certain
events in life and why they happened. I look back on this as a way to show me how learning from
God and about him is not always done in a church. As I make my way through nursing school, I
have also learned that many individuals turn to their spirituality, find their faith, or pray that their
belief will bring them comfort. My spiritual journey has taught me lessons of each these through
good and bad times. My spiritual journey was not perfect and I am still learning from it. This
journey has taken me through good times in my life and some really rough times in my life. The
bad times never stopped me from changing my faith in God or staying mad at him. I have always
learned in church, Sunday school, and church camps that God has a plan for everyone. Those
plans will not be perfect and will not be easy. These plans will teach me about life and who I am
becoming today. At the beginning of this journey, I had no clue about my faith in God. At this time
in my life, I was around the age of five and was

everyone was required to read a chapter of their book to a class mate or Pre Service Teacher.
Although the boy I was working with refused to read to me, I began to use a number of strategies
to motivate him to complete the task at hand. Mooney (2013) expresses Vygotsky's concept, The
Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), it has been articulated in this text that this ZPD is the space
among what someone is capable of without assistance and what someone is capable of with
assistance from a peer or teacher. I implemented this theory with the student, begging with observing
the situation and determining where he was at in his learning process and what he was able to
achieve. I began to think that maybe he was not too confidant to

Essay on The Meaning of Life
The Meaning of Life
My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from
which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there
can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned
above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not
to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there
is no single meaning of life to be defined – life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define
life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so.

Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or
great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life
meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or
her role."
At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its
catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have
become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in
any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62,
'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident
is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide
range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in
humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be,
laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored.
Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those
emotions are generated from the chain reactions created endlessly in

Life Is A Journey Essay
Somebody has rightly said "Life is a journey" and i completely agree with that person. In fact i
believe, life is merely not a single journey, it is indeed a combination of various small journeys
that teaches one or the other thing to a person and leave and ever lasting impact on his or her life.
Today in this article, i am going to talk about one such journey of mine, which was for few hours but
have left an everlasting impact on my mind forever. Delhi metro services– one of the best and the
most commonly used transportation means in Delhi, it do not need and sort of introduction. But for
the ones who don't know it, let me tell you– few decades back METROS were once those trains
which can only be seen in discovery channel or in some hi–fi foreign magazines and in developed

"Two women can never stay quite" –source: unknown (no offence). This quote however proved to be
partially wrong on them. Partially wrong? You wonder what do i mean by it– right? Here you go–
these ladies were just like any other women–they had kids, had to cook food daily as per the liking of
the family, take care of their daily needs, handle their job issues, bring joy in the family . spend time
with them and most important of all– try to built a new identity for herself without losing the respect
, care and support of her family and friends. BUT!! That's not all–these ladies in any of the normal
language were incapable to speak or hear, but in my perception and according to me they were
BLESSED by god and gifted by a special talent to – EXPRESS. We all are able to speak, write, listen
and even talk but many of us are unable to EXPRESS themselves. While this talent or rather gift
was with each of them. They neither had boundary of words, any language nor do they had any sort
of vacuum lying among

Life Is Journey Essay

  • 1. My Journey In My Life This life so far has brought me through many journeys. The experiences I have had taught me so much, I can't even fully explain. I am thankful for all the lessons I have learned through these experiences. God is my everything and is the only reason for my life. He has showed me the meaning of many things and is directing me to the right path. Therfore, the first influencial person is Jesus. He has been present for every single thing I have been through. Times like lonileness and failure he brought me up, and I couldn't be happier. In elementary school and some part of middle school I felt alone. I did not have any friends, no one to play with, and understand me. When I continued to pray to Jesus for friends, for understaning of others, and the feeling of being cared for and loved. After some time my prayers were finally answered. I began to have friends who were supportive and caring, I had a whole squad to play with and socialize with, I finally gained true friends who would understand me, and it still means so much to me. When I was in middle school I was not so focused on school work and I definetly did struggle. I had many bad grades and I knew I could do better and priortize my life. I began to become very studious and dedicate myself to my core classes. The result of my commitment changed my grades into passing and over the top. I also prayed to Jesus through that journey and he strenghtened me. I believe Jesus has to be one of the most influencial in my life. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Personal Narrative- Life as a Journey Essay Personal Narrative– Life as a Journey The journey of life follows a predetermined pattern; we evolve from needing influence and guidance to finally reaching that point where our lives are up to us. I consider myself very lucky up to this point in my journey. Some people become sidetracked and wind up on a far different course than initially planned, but the detours I made have only assisted in embellishing the individual instead of devouring it. According to Freud a person's most important period to grow personality ranges from birth to six years. In that span my biggest influences came from my family. When I think of that time before kindergarten, the single most important person to my development was my grandmother Carmen. She ...show more content... I hadn't shown up to bowling that morning so he called my house then came to the hospital. Nobody made him come to see me so quickly but he did. I will never forget the look in his face as he stared down at me. Hopefully every young person can look at two loving parents for guidance and help. I know how fortunate it is that I live with both of my natural parents, and that they both want the best for me. My parents embedded the values I cherish today into my spirit: the difference between right and wrong, the correct way to deal with anger, the importance of dedication and hard work in life. Those seem like cliques yet society refuses to hold those basic principles sacred anymore. I consider it an honor and privilege to have parents with common sense and self–worth. Other things have also affected the path I continue on today. Music certainly opened doors and unfounded emotions. Playing the saxophone, conducting, and even composing allowed this aestheticism to flow out from the depths of my being. Without becoming an artist I certainly would not understand my potential or the self–discipline reaching a particular goal entails. Listening to poetry and music has helped to forge the Rick of today. The sonnets of William Shakespeare and symphonies of Beethoven express desires and feelings that I have yet to even discover. Without those outlets to describe the indescribable, I would probably be a more isolated and confused person than I am today. Now that I have Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Journey In My Life Every day the thought of giving up crosses my mind. I think whether the end of this journey is worth the stress and the obstacles down the road. Everyone around me complain about how hard it is, but I've only seen one person push through it all, and that is my cousin, Michelle. She lives a life of examples to follow. She is the one that makes me believe in myself and pushes me to be the better version of myself. After watching "Why Most People Die by 25" by Prince Ea, it reminded me so much of Michelle. She has done so much in her 23 years of age. She made me realize that what that video mentions is true. She has demonstrated that no matter how hard the journey is the ending is always so much better. My goals are what will keep me going these next few years and knowing if I am even half the person Michelle is I will be highly satisfied. In the next ten years, I plan on graduating college with my Spanish major and becoming an educator, traveling all Central and South America, and start building my life with my future husband. First, finishing my education and becoming a Spanish teacher will be my biggest accomplishment. There is something about helping others that brings joy to me. School has always been my number one priority. I have dedicated countless hours to make sure that all my assignments and quizzes were done on time. The studying for exams was gruesome, but in the end helped me tremendously. There has been stressful situations in the past and I am positive there Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Journey As A Personal Journey In My Life When teenagers transition from the simpler days, such as riding a bicycle, to the world of young adulthood and responsibilities, there are a lot of adjustments made in the way they live life. Teenagers learn that not everyone has the free time to draw with Crayola markers and play outside everyday; they learn that time is precious and it needs to be used wisely as they deal with real–life problems such as keeping up with academics, staying involved in extracurricular activities and in the community, deciding what career path to take, maintaining their responsibilities at home, being a good friend to others, a good follower of their religion, and a good member to their community. What is unique about teenagers than other age groups is that they must experience a new step of personal growth: puberty. Being a teenager myself, I have learned that as the years go by, life definitely gets more challenging, but there is no challenge that I am afraid to accept. The moment I entered high school was a monumental change in my life. I walked in with one goal in mind: I want to be involved. Three years have passed and I am proud to say that I accomplished that big aspiration of my 14–year–old self. Finding balance is certainly the key to keep moving forward in life. As I maintain a big plate of responsibilities consisting of my job, future career, family, friends, and school, all of these parts in my life have encouraged my growth as an individual: physically, mentally, and emotionally. My spectacular abilities and inner spirit are shining and flourishing more than they have ever been my entire life. At this point in time, I can absolutely look back at my 17 years of life and humbly say, "I made it." One of the first things that is advised when you enter high school is to be involved. At the time, it was such a broad statement that I was confused on what it meant to "be involved". Slowly enough, I found myself falling into place in a myriad of clubs and activities I never thought I would see myself being apart of. Besides being a general member of Best Buddies International and Interact Club, I currently hold a high position in many others. As president of Key Club International, vice president of Senior Class Council, a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. The Importance of Journeys Essay The Importance of Journeys A thorough study of journeys reveals that a journey is much more than just movement from one place to another. Journeys are about learning and growth, and they have the potential to teach people about themselves and the society in which they live. An Imaginative Journey is one in which the individual doesn't in fact have to go anywhere in the physical sense. The physical journey is replaced by an expedition that is fuelled by the human capacity to imagine. Imaginative Journeys create endless possibilities. They can offer an escape from the realities of life, and are frequently used to comment on social or human traits and characteristics. Imaginative...show more content... Prospero, on his island, is in command. It is his imagination that has conjured up his scheme for revenge and the journey is his to have power over. Throughout the play, Prospero also experiences a journey of wisdom and appreciation. He learns more regarding the social order in which he lives and experiences self–realisation and discovers his identity. Prospero learns that revenge on his enemies is not the best answer "Yet with my nobler reason 'gainst my fury Do I take part. The rarer action is in virtue than in vengeance", and through his change, other characters such as Alonso learn something about themselves and others such a Miranda and Ferdinand find love– "Beyond all limits of what else I' th' world, Do love, prize, honour you." The imaginative setting for Prospero's island allows for the unbelievable to take place. Because of the situation, Shakespeare can exercise his imagination to generate characters and thoughts that are not possible in a realistic setting. The island is a place of magic and imagination. The magic of Prospero, Ariel and the other spirits, Caliban and the masque all persuade the audience, to suspend disbelief and accept imagination. Shakespeare has created the magic so that the audience will be enticed by the opportunity to escape from the real world, and experience encounters beyond the surface of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Journey Essay English Speech– Journeys "To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive." In other words a journey and the experiences you have are better than the actual destination. The novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain and the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost have taught me that journeys may involves barriers and hardships, they can lead to significant personal change and more importantly journeys facilitate reflection about how you see yourself, others and the world. Journeys are very important in personal change and growth. They can also help us in comparing and contrasting new and old experiences. Journeys may involve many barriers and hardships and overcoming them can lead to personal change and growth."The...show more content... In addition, "The Road Not Taken" also shows us how journeys allow for our reflection on many things. In the poem the traveller experiences an obstacle or fork in the road. This allows the traveller to take in his surroundings whether that be the path ahead or the people around him. This is shown when he states 'two roads diverged in a yellow wood'. The traveller has two options and to make a decision he has to really explore both of them. Robert Frost uses this poem to express his belief in not always following the crowd and being an individual. Robert Frost uses conversational language to create a sense of communication between the traveller and the reader and to enlighten the reflection that the traveller has made. After comparing both paths and seeing every option his reflection about his journey changes. The traveller decides to go with the path less travelled. He decides to be different. Journeys can lead to significant personal change. The experiences you have on a journey can shape and change your perception of yourself and the people around you. In 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' this is shown when Huck's beliefs change and he becomes more mature. Huck and Jim's relationship also develops throughout the journey. Huck's perception of Jim at the beginning of the journey is very different compared to the end. At the start Huck doesn't take Jim very seriously and has no compassion or respect for him. • 7. My Journey For My Life My college applications were complete and I was on top of the world. My father couldn't be more proud of my accomplishment. His face beamed with excitement as he enthusiastically told all of his friends, colleagues, and family that I was about to transfer to a university. The rejoicing didn't last long, and came to an abrupt halt when I witnessed my father having a seizure and collapsing. He was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor that week and passed away the following summer, causing my life to take a drastic turn. Since my father was the only person I relied on, his passing had a major impact on my life. Yet, the hardships subsequent to his passing played a powerful role in the person I have become and fuel my pursuit of becoming an attorney. My journey begins long before I was born and began when my parents were Iranian refugees and escaped the persecution that ensued after the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The political turmoil led my parents to leave their family and possessions behind as they sought to provide a better life for their three children in America. Along their journey to the United States, I was born. After years of strenuous travels, my parents arrived in Los Angeles in February of 1989. Shortly after arriving, my parents decided to get a divorce. My mother remarried, and I gravitated towards my father. He embraced me with open arms of love, and told me nothing had changed. At that point it was clear that my father was my hero. My father supported me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Personal Journey Essays Journeys are moments in life that define and reconstruct the myths we create about ourselves and others. All too often the ideals of a biased community or select group are viewed as the model by which all individuals must follow. To escape the pressures of a collective standard a person must travel outside the constraints of a community and discover his or her own true identity. On such a journey one can expect moments of planned reflection or unexpected instances of revelation. A journey is every minute of my existence, as I travel through life and try to ascertain my own presence in its cycle. An essential journey occurred three years ago when I set out on a personal pilgrimage. I wanted to re–travel the time line of the past few...show more content... I had only been camping once or twice and even then it was with all the comforts of modern camping gear. Was I ready for this? As my guide paddled away I looked down at my feet and surveyed the few preparations which I had brought. I had a sleeping bag; a tarp; a yard of string; two bags of food, which were little more than fruits, nuts, and cheese; two canteens of warm water; and the clothes on my back, which I had layered several deep. Before I would even attempt to sort through the real reasons why I had come on this trip I decided to set camp. As I looked about me, I saw that there was not one smooth area within a hundred yards. Because I had to be within whistling distance of my guide, in case of an emergency, I could not wander off. The first place I looked was the rocky stretch of beach. As I walked along looking for a small cave or shelter I noticed dozens of minuscule creatures. These were not companions or friendly wild animals but small biting sand fleas. Now I knew that no matter how much I wanted to assimilate myself with nature there was a limit to my experience. I just couldn't envision myself happily brushing off sand fleas all night so I decided to look up in the patch of evergreens that sheltered the beach. After trudging through soggy moss and swampish soil I found two evergreens that stood alone on a small cliff. I strung up my tarp to try and create the most comfortable Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. The Journey Of Life 's Journey Just as they say life is a journey, the same could be said for English Composition 1. We begin this journey of life by learning basic skills and tasks such as speaking, understanding, decision making, etc. Let's begin by acknowledging that life's journey is a difficult, complex process. It does not come easily; it takes quite a bit of work and thought. However, if you realize that all of life's journey is a conversation between yourself and an audience, then the task becomes a little bit easier. If you envision your life as a response to an existing prompt, the way you write will be shaped by the person's journey with whom you are "speaking." Imagine, for example, that someone asks you, "Why does it rain?" If that someone were your three–year–old cousin, you might respond one way, but if it were your sixty–three–year–old aunt, you would likely respond differently. You will need to approach every bit of life with that same awareness of audience. No matter what long term journey you pursue, you must be able to communicate effectively and clearly if you want to be successful. This journey will enhance your ability to do so by improving your critical thinking and writing skills. You will begin your journey with a unit designed to change the way you think about writing. First, you will learn to think of writing not as a solitary act but as a conversation between yourself and an audience. In this, writing becomes a dynamic, interactive, and creative rather than a Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My Life My Journey Essay As a very small child I don't remember too much, but the things that I do remember were seen through a child's eyes that has made me the person that I am today and I will always have those memory's with me until my last breath on this earth. In this essay I intend to show how my childhood and adult life to this point has influenced my life, my journey. By utilizing the adult development theories from this class I also intend on showing how they relate to my Life experiences and where I am today as an Adult student. Its funny how as a child you look at things. As time passes, those same child memories become life experiences as an adult. It is stated that Environmental assessment is closely related to the impact environment makes on...show more content... I lost my little brother in 1982 at age 22 in an accident at my parent's home. Robbie was taking down a C.B. antenna and it struck a high power line that ran into the local General Motors plant. Robbie was killed instantly. As Erickson's stated in his psychosocial development theory, "which refers to the development within the social environment in which a person lives, primarily focusing on relationships with other people" (Simanowitz & Pearce. 2003). This had brought back memories of how my relationship was when we were little. I was always kind of upset with Robbie because he was one of those kids that had that natural athletic ability. Robbie could run faster and throw better, do everything better when it came to sports, but the real reason I was mad at Robbie most of my childhood life was because every time something went wrong, I always got the blame and in trouble. Mom would say "You're older you should have known better" Yes she was right most of the time I did know better. I was the middle child and I was always the one that got into trouble even though Robbie might have done it first. I had a good childhood for the most part, I can't remember not doing without the things that I really needed as a child. Things like clothes, food, shelter and love from a family. • 12. Essay on The Journey of Human Life Some people may describe their lives as being ordinary while others may say that their life is extraordinary in comparison. People at some point in their lives will have to make decisions that will take them down different paths, and the paths people choose will determine what journey they may face and what will become of their future. While human life can be described as a journey, it is often described as being either a physical or spiritual one for its travelers. First, human life can be depicted as a spiritual and physical journey for people in life. In the short story "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce, it tells of a man being hanged over the edge of the bridge and the events that transpire after the noose around...show more content... Phoenix says, "'Ghost,' she said sharply, 'who be you the ghost of? For I have heard of nary death close by" (Welty 315). This shows that she is imagining things in her own way by thinking that death may have come for her. The ghost may also be considered the bringer of death and she is not ready for it. When Phoenix reaches the city and is questioned about her grandson's health she states, "My grandson. It was my memory had left me. There I sat and forgot why I made my long trip" (Welty 318). Phoenix throughout her journey is waging a battle between her mind and reality. By the time she reaches her destination her mind was in question on why she was there and for what reason. The illusion of the scarecrow as a ghost and her mind forgetting her reasons for her journey represent a spiritual battle for phoenix. These are some reasons why life can be depicted in a journey. Furthermore, people can experience a physical and spiritual journey in life. In the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, it tells of a journey that a person has to take when they are encountered with decisions. Frost writes, "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood," (Line 1). This line describes a metaphorical situation where a person comes to a point where they have to choose between two things. Here in the poem he is describing the choice in the way a person should live life or which path he should make his Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Experience : My Journey In My Life Throughout my life I have had many experiences or periods of time where I have encountered many obstacles. From heartache to heartbreak, to being suspended from school, to nearly taking my own life in order to "live". But I am not here to tell a sob story. After all, I am still here to write it. I am here to tell the world that despite these setbacks, despite my flaws, and despite these hurdles, that I am as strong as I've ever been. And I will not let my past hold me back from creating my destiny. In 2014, the beginning of my freshman year at high school, was an odd time in my life. As I was walking through the halls of Fort Morgan High School for the first time ever, I couldn't help but feel terrified, and nervous but at the same time, a feeling of excitement coursing through my veins. I was finally here, the home stretch. The last few years of school until I get to be sent into the mysterious world of adulthood. But that was freshman year. I was naive, hopeful, and foolish. The true hardships wouldn't begin until the following year. During the first semester of my sophomore year, my entire mindset shifted. I went from a hopeful, innocent soul to a hardened, emotionless husk of an organism with no will or desire to live. And it showed, clear as a freshly waxed window. My school work was of terrible quality, my grades plummeted, my friends felt ashamed to talk to me. I felt completely and utterly alone. So, with no one to turn to, no one to hear my pain, I began Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 15. The Journey Of Life : My Journey In My Life Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved – Winnie the Pooh. Being a military kid growing up, for as long as I could remember I have always been moving around, but never out of the country. I believe in this point in my life I had moved at least six times by now. I was around the age of 11, when I got the news that we would be moving to another continent, Europe. I was both scared and excited. Scared that I would not fit in, but excited to have the opportunity to travel and see the world because traveling had always been a huge part of my life. This is the journey that has changed me. When my family and I moved from America to Germany, I met new people who would leave a lasting impression on me, I gained knowledge of...show more content... This set up my future work ethic for high school and placement level in certain subjects. Another component I feel had major influence over my life was traveling. While in Germany I lived in two different locations, for my first year in Germany I lived in a city called Bamberg. There I specifically remember eating copious amounts of food. I recall eating out almost every night. My favorite place to eat was this little vendors' shop right outside of this food market, I remember every time we went grocery shopping at this location I would ask my dad to buy me food there. I always got the same thing, every time without fail, two bratwurst links perfectly grilled with brotchen (a delicious bread roll) and mustard. No drink or any other food needed. Whether I had already eaten something or not I would beg to eat there. The smell of the vendors' food was absolutely enticing, the smell of the savory meat being cooked on the grill just drew me in every time, making my mouth water. Bamberg for me will forever be associated with great food. My family and I then moved to Baumholder, there I lived for two years. There we got a plethora of traveling done, we visited: Luxemburg, France, different cities in Germany, Belgium, Italy, and so many more places. Traveling allowed me to learn and immerse myself in different cultures. It is absolutely fascinating to me how so many different cultures could function while being so Get more content on HelpWriting.net

But that's the beauty of life we can enjoy the finer things in life when we are up, and, we go thru the pain and suffering when we are down. But it is how we deal with the challenges in life that can make us stronger. Also, the ability to change oneself to adapt to a new environment is one of the essential skills that a person can possess in life. My life has been full of challenges since I can remember. But as the weeks went by I started noticing some of my classmates mocking me and laughing at me. Just simply because I could not communicate with them, I could not read, talk or write English. I tried to ignore it and move on, but it got worse later that day during recess a group of kids approached me I thought they wanted to play with me. Surely, I get surround; they started throwing rocks at me and calling me offensive words. I felt sick to my stomach why was I being treated that way if I didn't offend anyone. I wasn't leaving the American dream, the dream that I heard people glorifying and I always wonder why people were always chasing the American dream. When I was living a true nightmare when I was chasing the American dream; the school had become my hell. My self–esteem had hit rock bottom: I hated myself I never wanted to go back to school, but I had no choice. • 17. My Journey On My Spiritual Journey Essay As I reflect back on my spiritual journey, I remember times of questioning God, praying in times of need, and asking why certain things happen the way they do. My journey has brought me through rough patches of my life and times of life learning lessons. Looking back at the past and up until now, I was not the one to attend church every Sunday and pray before every meal. I questioned some of the ways my church wanted us to learn about God. I even questioned God about certain events in life and why they happened. I look back on this as a way to show me how learning from God and about him is not always done in a church. As I make my way through nursing school, I have also learned that many individuals turn to their spirituality, find their faith, or pray that their belief will bring them comfort. My spiritual journey has taught me lessons of each these through good and bad times. My spiritual journey was not perfect and I am still learning from it. This journey has taken me through good times in my life and some really rough times in my life. The bad times never stopped me from changing my faith in God or staying mad at him. I have always learned in church, Sunday school, and church camps that God has a plan for everyone. Those plans will not be perfect and will not be easy. These plans will teach me about life and who I am becoming today. At the beginning of this journey, I had no clue about my faith in God. At this time in my life, I was around the age of five and was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Essay on My Learning Journey so Far Learning in a Changing World has brought on a number of positive learning experiences. The knowledge I have gained and theory I have completed through assessments and in class discussions and tasks has broadened my understanding of learning. It is evident through this text that the theoretical perspectives focused on in this subject have had a place in the process of my learning journey throughout the semester. Whether this learning has been learning a new skill for an assessment, observing learning and assisting teaching on placement or collaborative learning in the tutorials, it is clear a number of theories tie into these learning experiences. As I began my journey of learning a new skill which was how to play a song on the piano, I was ...show more content... I was lucky enough to be placed at Thornbury Primary School for my first week of placement. On many occasions throughout the five days I assisted students with their work, from small group work to working one on one with students. At times it was difficult helping student as some needed more motivation than others, some learnt at a slower rate than others and at times I needed to come up with strategies to tackle challenges I faced. One challenge was assisting a boy in the class who had special needs. The class began with their Reading Workshop and first off everyone was required to read a chapter of their book to a class mate or Pre Service Teacher. Although the boy I was working with refused to read to me, I began to use a number of strategies to motivate him to complete the task at hand. Mooney (2013) expresses Vygotsky's concept, The Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), it has been articulated in this text that this ZPD is the space among what someone is capable of without assistance and what someone is capable of with assistance from a peer or teacher. I implemented this theory with the student, begging with observing the situation and determining where he was at in his learning process and what he was able to achieve. I began to think that maybe he was not too confidant to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Essay on The Meaning of Life The Meaning of Life My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there is no single meaning of life to be defined – life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so. ...show more content... Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or her role." At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62, 'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be, laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored. Despite such emotional ties to life, I have also learned that life is not only about emotions. Those emotions are generated from the chain reactions created endlessly in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Life Is A Journey Essay Somebody has rightly said "Life is a journey" and i completely agree with that person. In fact i believe, life is merely not a single journey, it is indeed a combination of various small journeys that teaches one or the other thing to a person and leave and ever lasting impact on his or her life. Today in this article, i am going to talk about one such journey of mine, which was for few hours but have left an everlasting impact on my mind forever.
