3. What is Desktop?
- The
large area that is the
upper part of the screen
is called the Desktop.

4. Parts of the Desktop
1. Taskbar - a long horizontal bar at the
bottom of a desktop.
2. Icons - a small image with a text label
represents a command.
3. Wallpaper - the background screen of a
desktop.
4. START button – It is a button found on the lower left
part of the desktop.
5. System Tray – this is where you can find icons
belonging to some of the programs that
are currently running.
6. Quick Launch Bar – it provides an easy way to launch a program
with
just one click.
