3. Note
• This guide uses Eloqua 10 as an example for
describing the configuration.
• If you use Eloqua 9 instead, the overall
configuration steps are identical but the Eloqua
screens (and location of certain Eloqua elements
described in the guide) might be different.
4. Step 0 - Add the Eloqua user to the API User Security Group.
This is needed for Kwanzoo to access your Eloqua account through APIs. Kwanzoo
uses Eloqua’s SOAP APIs to create and update Eloqua Contact Records
5. Next Steps – A Quick Summary
The following steps are needed to wire Kwanzoo Lead Forms
with Eloqua. NOTE: This is a one time setup only. You do not need
to repeat these steps for each Kwanzoo campaign.
Eloqua Configuration
1. Create one form in Eloqua
2. Create a visitor data lookup in Eloqua
3. If you’re using relationship targeting in Kwanzoo (optional),
create a contact data lookup in Eloqua
Kwanzoo Configuration
4. Enter information regarding 1, 2, and 3 above in Kwanzoo
5. Map Kwanzoo form fields to Eloqua Contact Record fields
6. Step 1
Create one form in Eloqua
NOTE: This is a generic form used across all Kwanzoo
lead form campaigns that you might run.
7. Create a form with two fields
One of the fields has to be ‘Email Address’.
The other can be any field (typically customers use ‘Lead Source – Most Recent’).
Note that the second field is needed to workaround an E10 issue
9. Add the ‘Update Contacts – With Form Data’ processing step
Also, map the fields as shown below. Save this and go back to save the form
10. Click on the two form fields one by one & note their HTML names
(you will be entering these names in your Kwanzoo account later)
11. From the menu on the top right, select ‘View Form HTML’
12. Select ‘Integration Details’ tab and note down the value
for the elqFormName and elqSiteID.
In the example below, the values are ‘kZVisitorForm’ and
‘2318’ respectively
14. Click on ‘Setup’ on the top right and then click on ‘Visitor Profiles’
15. Create a new Visitor Profile
Ensure that it has ‘Email Address’ as the only field and save it
16. Go back to ‘Setup’ and this time, click on ‘Web Data Lookup’
17. Create a new Data Lookup
For Data Lookup Type use ‘Visitors’ and for Data Fields Returned, use the
visitor profile you created in the previous steps. Save the data lookup
18. Note down the Data Lookup Key (for use in Kwanzoo later)
19. Step 3
Create a contact data lookup in Eloqua
NOTE: This is an OPTIONAL step needed only if you’re
using relationship targeting. Relationship targeting in
Kwanzoo enables you to serve different creatives to
cookied and uncookied Eloqua visitors based on
contact record data.
Skip to step 4 if you’re not using relationship targeting
20. Click on ‘Setup’ on the top right and then click on ‘Web Data Lookup’
21. Create a new Data Lookup
For Data Lookup Type use ‘Contact’ and for Data Fields Returned, use ‘Default –
General.’ Save the data lookup
22. Note down the Data Lookup Key (for use in Kwanzoo later)
23. Step 4
Enter information collected in Steps 1 (form info), 2
(visitor data lookup key) and optionally 3 (contact data
lookup) in your Kwanzoo account
24. Log into your Kwanzoo account
Click on the ‘Account’ link on the top to go to the Account page. On that
page, click on ‘Edit Settings’ in the Eloqua Advanced Configuration section
25. On the popup, provide your Eloqua login credentials and enter the
information collected in previous steps.
Note that the ‘Contact Data Lookup Key’ entry should be left blank. Enter some default value
for the second field in the form (you can always overwrite this when a new contact record is
created). Click OK
27. Edit your Lead Form campaign in your Kwanzoo account and expand
‘Step 2C: Customize Sign Up Screen.’
Scroll down to Contact Capture Options and select ‘Eloqua LeadConnect…’ from the dropdown.
Provide login credentials for your Eloqua account and map the form fields to the desired Eloqua
Contact Record fields
29. Here you can specify values for additional fields to:
(a) Identify that the contact was captured through a Kwanzoo campaign
(b) Tie the creation of the contact record to other campaign ids in
Eloqua/Salesforce/etc.
This information can be used to trigger different post processing steps
through Program Builder for lead scoring, etc.
