Indian Army is the land based branch and the largest component of Indian Armed Forces. • Indian Army originated from the Armies of the East India Company, eventually became the British Indian Army and the armies of the princely states, and it finally became the National Army after Independence

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT INDIAN ARMY  India has the biggest volunteer army in the world.  India controls the highest battlefield in the world , The Siachen Glacier , at 5000 meters above Mean Sea Level(MSL).  Indian soldiers are considered among the very best in high altitude and mountain warfare.  The Indian Army’s High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) is one of the most elite military training centers in the world and is frequented by Special Ops teams from the US , UK and Russia.

AGNI and Prithvi both are nuclear capable ballistic missiles and are among the most accurate in the world in their respective categories. The missile BrahMos-2 is the fastest hypersonic missile in the world. AGNI-VI will give India the power to strike almost every part of the world.

In the worst ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, a suicide bomber rammed his explosive laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy on the Srinagar-Jammu highway The blast was followed by gun shots by terrorists at around 3:15 PM on 14 Feb 2019 Pakistan based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for the attack PULWAMA TERROR ATTACK

SUKMA ATTACK - 2018 On 13 march 2018, 9 CRPF personnel were killed and 6 others were injured when Maoists blew up a mine-protected vehicle with an IED in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh The attack came almost 11 days after Indian security personnel killed 10 alleged Naxalites in the forests of Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on March 2
