4. InScript (Indian Script) Keyboard is the
standard keyboard for typing Indian Scripts.
This keyboard layout is standardized
by Government of India for inputting Indic
texts.
InScript keyboard is inbuilt in most of the
major Operating Systems including Windows
(7, Vista, XP), Linux and Mac OS.
Inscript keyboard produces Unicoded (UTF-8,
UTF-16, UTF-32) Indian Languages texts.

6. The Inscript Keyboard is divided into two
parts: the vowel pads on the left hand side,
and the consonant pads on the right hand
side.
Due to the phonetic/alphabetic nature of the
keyboard, a person who knows typing in one
Indian script can type in any other Indian
script.
The logical structure allows ease in learning.

18. Start-> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options.
Select 'Languages' tab then select 'Install files for complex
script and right-to-left languages'(including Thai).
Windows will prompt for Original Windows XP
installation/setup CD. Insert the Windows XP setup CD and
press OK. After Windows finishes installing fonts it will prompt
for reboot.
Remove the CD and Press OK.
Now to configure Hindi typing using normal US English
keyboard. Click on Start-> Control Panel -> Regional and
Language Options. Select Language tab then in Text Services
and input Languages press Details. Select Add.
In next screen 'Add Input Language' select 'Input Language' as
'Hindi'.
For Hindi keyboard layout choose 'Devanagri INSCRIPT'. Select
OK.
A Language Bar will appear at right bottom of your screen.

19. Start writing in Notepad or Word Document or
Excel or in any document or directly on WEB in
your blogs, email or website.
When you write it in notepad then before you save
it, notepad will prompt you to save it as Unicode
text. Select ‘utf8’ instead of 'ANSI'.
With ‘utf8’ format for saving the data you can
assure right at your level that your data is in most
widely supported format for rest of its journey.

the world.
Typed article would look exactly same on all
kind of computers irrespective of Operating
Systems (Windows /Linux) and Browsers (IE-
5,6,7,8,9 / Chrome / Mozilla / Opera).
Typed articles become searchable in all the
Search Engines –Google, Yahoo or Bing etc and
Wikipedia, the open Encyclopedia.

contribute a lot to increase the Indian

सुिवधा प्रा त है. सवाल उठता है िक आिखर क्य िकसी
भारतीय को अपनी भाषा म िलखने के िलए िकसी दूसरी िलिप
की मदद लेनी चािहए? क्या अंग्रेजी म िलखने के िलए कोई
देवनागरी, अरबी या सी िलिप का प्रयोग करेगा?
