Nokia Kontserdimaja, Avenue Estonia 9, Tallinn

Nokia Kontserdimaja, Estonia pst.9, Tallinn
on pöördumatu? Kuidas suhtuvad sellesse erinevad osapooled: kirjanikud, kirjastajad, lugejad? Kas
Kultuuriministeerium on
kuulutanud käesoleva aasta lugemisaastaks. Samuti toimub 6. kuni 8. maini 2010 Tallinnas Balti
raamatumess.
Eelneva valguses on meil hea meel teatada, et korraldame e-raamatu teemal kolm üm,arlauda,
kaasates arutellu eksperte Eestist, Prantsusmaalt, Saksamaalt ning Lätist. Konverentsi modereerib hr
Aavo Kokk,, OÜ Catella Corporate Finance’i tegevpartner ning Eesti Päevalehe endine peadirektor.

E-book conference: Evolution or Revolution
7th of May 2010 from 10h00 till 15h30
Nokia Concert Hall, Estonia Avenue 9, Tallinn
It seems as if the digital revolution that overwhelmed the music industry is about to shape the book
industry as well, an industry that until recently seemed unaffected by this trend. Hence, a number of
questions arise. Is this development irreversible? How will it affect writers, publishers, distributors? Is
the whole book industry concerned? Although Estonia is widely known for its new technologies and e-
solutions, interestingly enough, the topic of e-books has not been widely discussed until now.
The year 2010 is an important year for books in Estonia. It has been declared the year of reading by
the Estonian Ministry of Culture. The Baltic Book Fair will also take place in Estonia this year, from the
6th till the 8th of May 2010 in Tallinn.
In the light of the previous, we have the pleasure to inform you, that we are organising three round-
tables on the topic of e-books involving experts from Estonia, France, Germany and Latvia. The
moderator of the event is Mr. Aavo Kokk, managing director of Catella Corporate Finance and the
former head of the Estonian daily newspaper „Eesti Päevaleht.“. The working language of the
conference is English.. Please find here below the program of the event together with the participating
