2. DEFINITION
• Plantar fascitis is a painful
condition of foot caused by
inflammation of plantar fascia
• The pain is usually felt on
bottom of foot near the heel
• Pain is worse when getting out
of bed in morning or after sitting
for a long time
• Common in middle age women

• Obesity
• Long distance walkers, running … military,sports activities
• Shoes with poor arch supports
• Diabetis

• Tight achillis tendon
• Weak tibialis posterior
