5. GCR
General Cargo Rate
Rate charged by a carrier to transport
cargo when it doesn't qualify for a
discounted special class fee or a
commodity fee from the carrier.
It is charged per kilo of cargo as per
cargo tariff guide of each Airline.
It consists of minimum rate (M), normal
rate (N), and lower charge in higher
weight (Q) and distance(D).
Published for each pair of cities an
airline serves.
6. SCR
Specific Commodity Rate
Rates applicable to certain classes of
commodities.
Usually these rates are applied to
commodities that move in large volume
shipments in a given market.
Specific commodity rates are usually
lower than general cargo rates and are
published for particular commodities
from a specified point of origin to a
specified destination point.
They are subject to a minimum weight
restriction.
7. CCR
Commodity classification rates also
known as Class Cargo Rates.
This is applicable for carriage of
specially designated class cargo.
Eg. Live animals, Precious cargo, news
paper, Periodicals, Human remains etc.
Newspapers, Magazines, Periodicals,
Books, Catalogues, Braille-Type
Equipment and Talking Books for the
Blind 50% of normal GCR shall apply to
the above commodities

Live Animals(S) All live animals rates
are 200% of Normal GCR.
Other Commodity Classification
Rates(S) valuable cargo including legal
bank notes, traveler's checks, securities,
bonds, gold, platinum, diamonds and
jewelry.
Class rates are not applicable to the
carriage of calendars, price tags and
posters.
9. ADD-ON
Charges are not published through fare,
when lesser known sector is involved.
Rate has to be constructed with the
prospective rates combination with
transferring point.
10. Bulk Cargo Rate
By adding small cargo packages make a
bulk and send with master copy of Air
Way Bill.
In this case small cargo packages port
of loading and port of destination will be
same.
