The purpose of this project is to study and establish the role that open repositories
play or may end up playing when they are considered and integrated as a part of
the scien,fic and technological infrastructure of research centers and ins,tu,ons.
This disserta,on pretends to accomplish the following objec,ves:
1. To examine the evolu,on, processes and current features of the management
and applica,on of open repositories at research centers and ins,tu,ons.
2. To recommend a strategic model for the applica,on, development and
management of open repositories at research centers and ins,tu,ons, having them
as a part of their scien,fic and technological infrastructure.

Currently there is a problem when assessing monographs: lack of method and
clear indicators to measure the quality of publishers and works. There are
some precedents but they have biases.
Any evalua,on system, actually, must take into account the technical needs of
publishers and resources. It is needed specific criteria and indicators.
Therefore, the objec,ve of this work is to develop a u,lity model for crea,ng
quality standards in digital environments, designing and implemen,ng the
algorithms for the metric, selec,on and evalua,on of scien,fic content.

We are interested in knowing the changes involved in the transi,on to the
consump,on and use of digital informa,on among users of health-sciences
libraries
Objec,ves: To understand the reading, wri,ng and informa,on management
prac,ces of health professionals in the East of Malaga Health Area.
Method: Using a specific ques,onnaire, we will gather informa,on on the
professional and personal prac,ces of a popula,on sample consis,ng of 1300
health professional working in different categories.
Results : We will establish a diagnosis of the current situa,on, to design an
ac,on plan to enhance digital literacy among healthcare professionals.

The migra,on from analogue to digital generated a strong impact on all the
reading related structures. Now is required different skills that go beyond the
skills that were previously demanded. It is required the ability to take
ownership of e-devices properly in order to make the digital reading enjoyable
and efficient. The Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Founda,on and reading studies in
Spain are almost two inseparable subjects. Within this context, we conducted a
study on digital reading and its developments in Spain, from a case study: the
inves,ga,on of the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Founda,on through Territorio
Ebook program.

To assess whether the users’ experience of users to perform various tasks in an open
access repository, increases by integrating Discovery Tools.
The tasks to perform by the users are management and information design,
dissemination and seekers of open educational resources (OER) of sustainability
energy.
This research aims to develop a usability evaluation prototype which will offer new
insights in the design of the information architecture and has been developed under the
method of mixed layout.
The results aims contribute with new criteria and parameters for provide flexible
interfaces, specifically for the web repositories, as a component of the technological
ecosystem of the scientific activity.
