Quick Mask mode in the toolbar is like a
selection marque
Quick Mask mode disappears as soon as
current selection is changed
Alpha Channel is like a Quick Mask mode
Must load Alpha Channel as selection for it to apply to

Quick Selection tool is fastest way to create mask
To manually paint or draw mask areas, use Brush
& Lasso tools
To add to areas you want fully revealed, drag Quick Selection,
Brush & Lasso tools

To subtract from areas you want fully masked, drag Quick
Selection, Brush & Lasso tools while holding Alt (Windows)
or Option (Mac) key
Improve edges around transitions using Refine Edge Brush
- can't use it over areas that are fully revealed or fully
masked
