A Value-Added Service for Participating MLS Members
              The Short Sale Assistance Desk (SSAD) helps real estate professionals work directly with Fannie Mae to
              resolve cases where the short sale approval channel has slowed down. In most cases, short sale issues
              are resolved in less than two weeks.

              Access to the SSAD is available only through participating MLSs. This initiative leverages the relationships
              between MLSs and their members, allowing real estate professionals to submit information to Fannie
              Mae using a dedicated link found only on their MLS’s website. Complementing this effort, MLSs provide
              data to Fannie Mae to help improve valuations and enable quicker decisions regarding short sale
              requests.

              Five Easy Steps to Offering the SSAD to your Members
              1. Enter into a relationship agreement with Fannie Mae. We will provide you with a copy of Fannie
                   Mae’s MLS Relationship Agreement and SSAD Agreement. Also, we will work with you to review
                   and execute the sign-up materials.
              2. Provide Fannie Mae with the required data feed that we will use to enhance the short sale process
                 (Data you provide is used for internal Fannie Mae business only. Fannie Mae will not resell your
                 specific MLS data or repurpose it for use by external third parties.)
              3. Post the SSAD logo and link provided by Fannie Mae to your MLS website -- allowing your members
                 to easily access the Short Sale Assistance Desk.
              4. Promote the benefits of the Short Sale Assistance Desk with your members. We will provide you
                 with marketing and communications materials that can be customized for your MLS.
              5. Partner with Fannie Mae as needed to resolve any issues that arise from access to the SSAD.
