Being a tourist in my own
                    environment
                      By: Kitty Wong
Things I learned…
 A lot of attention is drawn to you when you’re working on your
    laptop in a shopping mall

 Always pretend you’re “zoning out” when someone catches
    you observing them

 Never stare too long at a high-end jewelry store, the security
guard may think you’re planning the next heist

 It’s hard to concentrate on your assignment when you’re
surrounded by the smell of freshly baked cookies

                                          Things I
                                         observed…
                                             
 Run by the Alma
    Mater Society of the
    University of British
    Columbia
 Serving an
    assortment of cookies
    and pastries along
    with 100% organic
    and Fair Trade Coffee

Everyone is
 on a mission,
  and knows
   what they
     want Homey feel,
                                                 but not a
                                                space you
                                              would want to

                                        Hole in the wall–
                                         good coffee &
                                          pastries, but
                                        esthetically not
   Never realized
                       Can smell pleasing
 there was a lower
    display case freshly baked
                     cookies from
