This document proposes the PulseTrack Project, which is a satellite monitoring system to automatically track railway transport in Russia. Currently there is no stable automatic monitoring system, and tracking is done manually by dispatchers calling stations. The project aims to develop flexible GPS/GLONASS trackers to attach to transport containers and wagons. These would send location data via satellite to software to provide real-time monitoring. The founders estimate the market size could support selling 1.2 million devices and generating over 800 million rubles in revenue through device and software sales. They are seeking 30 million rubles in investment over 3 years to develop prototypes and software.

monitoring equipment market in 2013 reached $ 250 mln.
Market growth rate increases by 15-20% per year.
Participants market of GPS / GLONASS devices
represent only for vehicles. Devices for railway segment
almost have no competitors. The projected size of the
market for railway trackers for 2015 - 1.2 mln. devices.
