3. Children for Children
• Participating school children aged 10-14 walk
6 km with 6 liters of water to raise money &
awareness for water and sanitation
– Showing solidarity & support for millions of
children in developing countries without clean
drinking water that must make this walk daily.
• Celebrating UN World Water Day 22-3
• This week more than 25.000 kids participated
4. Rotary Walking for Water
• In the Netherlands more than 50 Rotary clubs
organized Rotary Walking for Water in their
local communities.
– Since 2011 also in UK and growing through RWWI
• It’s a great Rotary event that we think clubs
around the world should consider adopting.
– Raise water awareness amongst Rotarians
– Enhances Rotary image: Family + Youth + Water
– Raises allot of publicity/money for water projects
