!     Watching movies in the third dimension might seem like
space-age entertainment, but the technology is older than your
      great grandfather.

!     According to Sensio, a Canada-based manufacturer of 3D home
      technology.

!     stereoscopic photography, or the technique of creating a “third
dimension”, was first invented in 1838.
!      3D technology is the illusion of depth. It is a visual
representation system that tries to create or reproduce moving
      objects in the third dimension.

!     Watching movies in the third dimension might seem like
space-age entertainment, but the technology is older than your
      great grandfather.
!     IN Simple Words that We have feel that whatever happens in
3d effect it is part of our real life.
!   USING 3D GLASSES..

!   Types…

       !   1> Anaglyph 3D Glasses

       ! 2> Polarized 3D Glasses
Anaglyph 3D Glasses

! Lenses of red/ blue or red/green for interpreting
anaglyph art. Used for viewing 3D comics, 3-D web
sites on the internet, movies and TV, 3D games,
    printing and art.
Polarized 3D Glasses

! Both linear and circular polarizing lenses. Polarized
3D glasses are used primarily for 3D laser shows, 3d
    ride simulators, multimedia displays,
Pulfrich 3D Glasses

! One dark and one clear lens. Pulfrich 3D Glasses
work with objects or scenes moving horizontally
across the field of view. This is one of several ways to
experience broadcast TV in 3-D. The Pulfrich
method of 3D is used for TV, video and 3D
    computer displays.
D4RENCES:::
•     In a movie theater, the reason why you wear 3D glasses is to
feed different images into your eyes just like a View-Master
does. The screen actually displays two images, and the glasses
cause one of the images to enter one eye and the other to enter the
other eye. There are two common systems for doing this ..

•    It is called stereoscopic tecquine.
Although the red/green or red/blue system is now mainly used for
television 3-D effects, and was used in many older 3-D movies. In this
system, two images are displayed on the screen, one in red and the other in
blue (or green). The filters on the glasses allow only one image to enter each
eye, and your brain does the rest. You cannot really have a color movie
when you are using color to provide the separation, so the image quality is
not nearly as good as with the polarized system.
q  The red and blue lenses filter the two projected images allowing only one
 image to enter each eye.
Cross eyes seperation mehod
q  Polarization

At Disney World, Universal Studios and other 3D venues, the
preferred method uses polarized lenses because they allow color viewing.
Two synchronized projectors project two respective views onto the screen,
each with a different polarization. The glasses allow only one of the images
into each eye because they contain lenses with different polarization.
q  The polarized glasses allow only one of the images into each eye
because each lens has a different polarization.
!     In making 3d Films…

      !     Likes Raone , Avatar ,Don 2 ….

!     Making 3d display of TeliVision..

!     Making 3d Games….

      !     Call of Duty

      !     Dead Rising ..

      !     Bat man
Today so many company are making 3d TV…
                         Like …
                       1Toshiba
                      2Samsung
                        3sony..
                     4panasonic.
                        5sharpe
                         6LG

!   And worlds no 1 company Apple declared that it will
be make 3d ipod ,and laptop

!     in early season..
**Today World’s famoums company Toshiba found that
                    new techonology ..**
we can see watch 3d image without 3d glasses.
In 2010 toshiba is made one tv in which above system is
                         Followed.
Toshiba ZL2 Series

•     A 55-inch version of the ZL2 will be available in
Europe in December 2011 called 55ZL2. It is expected
to cost around 8000 Euro. A different variant is
expected in the US and Asia in 2012.

!     It is no secret that students of today live in a multimedia world
where they use video as their primary form of engagement and
communication. Teachers and administrators are looking for
ways to present information to students that will not only spark
their interest, but also encourage them to explore a subject more
thoroughly. Meaningful exploration usually means deeper
understanding, which translates into higher student
achievement, whether measured via standardized tests or an
      increased graduation rate.

!     The advent of affordable 3D technology promises to bring into reality
the dream of fully engaged students. Are you ready?
v  What are the disadvantages of 3D Cinema/Television?

!           Valid disadvantages of current 3D technologies are:

      1) Watching 3D content will always result in loss of brightness
in some form or another regardless of what 3D technology you
are using (e.g. polarized, shutterglass, etc.)

      2) The glasses are uncomfortable for people who don’t normally
wear glasses, because those people are not used to wearing glasses
and the novelty of it becomes a point of focus and annoyance
!           3) The glasses are uncomfortable for people who do normally wear
glasses, because the 3D glasses must be worn over those existing
glasses (unless 3D clip-on lenses are used)

      4) Shutterglass 3D technology requires on-going maintenance
(e.g. replacing or charging batteries). Passive 3D technology does
not require much maintenance, but it is also rare to find on the
consumer market (despite being the most popular choice for
      commercial theaters in North America).

      5) The cost of adding or replacing shutterglasses for consumer 3D
TV is expensive (e.g. $150 per pair)
!         6) For standard Cable TV broadcasts, it is not possible to achieve
1080i High Definition for 3D content using the existing cable TV
standards. Instead, 3D content is broadcast in a lower resolution
      format (still looks good though).

          7) 3D content can in some cases cause varying degrees of eye-
strain to some viewers, especially after watching for long periods
          of time.
