to the back of the hock to
the back of the fetlock.
4. STRAIGHT HOCK CONFORMATION
Because this horse has NO
angulation to his hock, the
plumb lines falls to the ground
without touching the hock or
the fetlock.
This horse has NO shock
absorption!
5. POOR CONFORMATION LEADS TO
LAMENESS
Straight hocks result in
increased concussive forces in
the hind limbs
This young horse will not
only be incredibly
uncomfortable to ride, he is
predisposed to arthritis and
upward fixation of the patella
(locking stifle).
