Android Inc. was founded in Palo Alto at California, in October 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich
Miner, Nick Sears, and Chris White.
Rubin described the Android project as having "tremendous potential in developing smarter
mobile devices that are more aware of its owner's location and preferences"
In Early intentions, the company were about to develop an advanced OS for digital cameras, in
April 2004 but the markets for cameras were not that large enough, so they thought divert the
efforts towards a handset OS which would be a rival for Symbian & windows mobile.
In July 2005, Google acquired Android Inc. for at least $50 million.
Its key employees, including Rubin, Miner, Sears, and White, joined Google as part of the
acquisition.

IOS Stands for iPhone operating system
In 2005, when Steve Jobs began planning the iPhone, he knew it would be an epic feat of
engineering & enlargement the iPod.
Steve jobs approached the macintosh & ipod team led by scott forstall and Tony fadell to
develop this OS.
Around the year 2006, Apple Worldwide Developers have developed this operating system and
later released with the release of new iPhone models.
Since its initial release, it has been used as the operating system for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch,
and HomePod.
IOS was later released world wide and in 2008 On March 6, 2008, Apple held a press event,
announcing the iPhone SDK.
The iOS App Store was opened on July 10, 2008 with an initial 500 applications available.
