Marginalia in Digital Texts
• How can we preserve, enhance, and expand reader interaction with
digital texts?
• Can we integrate (multimedia) references so that we can represent a
text as a“multi-dimensional space”(Roland Barthes)?
• How can we get insights on how readers discover connections within a
text, across different texts, to source texts, to adaptations in other
media, or derivative texts?
• Is there a way to visualize the„act of reading“ (Wolfgang Iser)?
• Can we go beyond the single text and graphically represent reading
paths across multiple texts?
