2. Pre-ops Inspection
Failure to inspect and verify that the vehicle is in safe operating
condition before operating increases the risk of an accident. Always
inspect the vehicle before each use to make sure it's in safe operating
condition.
A proper test of service and park brake operation must be completed. daily at
start of each shift, by the operator.
At the start of each shift the operator must fill out the vehicle log book, noting
any deficiencies. All deficiencies related to the safe operation of the vehicle must
be reported immediately and the vehicle tagged out.

Frame nuts, bolts, fasteners Inspect, ensure tightness
Fuel and oil Ensure proper levels
Coolant level Ensure proper levels
Coolant hoses Inspect for leaks
Throttle Ensure proper operation
Indicator lights/switches Ensure operation
Air filter, pre-filter Inspect, clean
Headlamp Check operation,
Brake light/tail lamp Check operation
Seat Belts Check length of belt for damage,
check latches for proper operation
Fire Extingisher Ensure the wire seal is in place, ensure the
indicator on top is clear and inspect the hose
and nozzle for damage
Body Check for damage
