Info about C.C.
• He was born in late October, 1451
• He died in 1506
• Christopher believed that if he took a
  ship-trip across the ocean, to India, that
  he would find riches and such…
• Conquest: Columbus left in 1492 for his
  journey to the new world, India
Reasons for journey
• He wanted to find riches and land
• There was need for a trade route, so he
  went to find and or create one that
  connected Europe and India.
The Journey
• The sailors were forced to drink their
  urine and eat the leather from their
  shoes.
• Starvation and infection were common
  aspects of this time era that exceeded
  when taking on the ocean.
Where he thought he was




• This is where the term Indian came
  from because C.C was “in India”.
Where he actually was
The term “Indian” comes from this image
 because this is the first thing Columbus
 saw in this new world.
What he did when he got
           there
• Pilgrims were mistreated
Native reaction
• Angry
• They felt laughed at and mocked.
Things that he found
• Land, money, people, trade route.
Evidence
•   He abused the native people.
•   He was cruel, deceitful, self centered.
•   He did not care if other people suffered.
•   Columbus liked watching the natives
    die and suffer.
Conclusive statement
• Christopher was a bad
  man….inconsiderate
