Welcome
Hi Class of 2017! July Orientation is right around the corner and we can't wait to meet the
rest of you! The coordinators had a meeting with President Cost yesterday about some big
changes coming to JU so get excited new phins!
July Orientation
July Orientation is less than a week away! We hope you are as excited as we are!
What time does Orientation start and end?
Orientation check-in is between 9am-10am on Monday, July 15 in Oak Hall (Campus
Map). Opening Session begins at 10am. Orientation ends Tuesday, July 16 at
1pm. There are Snap Shot Sessions that take place from 1pm-1:30pm, but it is not
required to attend. If you have meetings with Financial Aid or Registrar, they will take

2. place after Orientation ends.
What do I bring to Orientation?
Bring clothes for the second day, your swimsuit, pajamas, and a beach towel for the pool.
Please also bring your basic toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc.). You will need to bring a
pillow, but we'll provide the other linens and bath towels.

Registration
During Orientation there will be time set aside for you to register for classes. However,
you can register prior to attending Orientation. To set up an appointment to register,
contact the Academic Advising Office ASAP at 904-256-7170.

If you need to take the Math Placement Exam, please contact Academic Advising

Highlight: Changes Coming to JU
One of the big changes coming to JU is a Chick-fil-A coming to campus! This is just one of the many
changes President Cost has in store for JU. The Riverview Cafe is also being redone and
renovated. The River House located near the pool will be up and running by Homecoming as
well. When you arrive here in the Fall you're going to see bigger and better things on JU campus!
