Claude Monet was a famous French impressionist painter born in 1840 in Paris. Some of his most notable paintings include "Antibes in the Morning" from 1888, "Camille Monet on a Garden Bench" from 1873, and "Les Promeneurs" from 1865. After marrying his second wife Alice, Monet moved to Giverny, where he painted many landscapes of his garden along a pond and Japanese bridge. Monet died in 1926 in Giverny and was quite famous during his lifetime.
