d. Segment spoken single-syllable words
into their complete sequence of
individual sounds (phonemes).

In groups model a game
of “jeopardy” and have
words which students
must either write or say
out loud for an amount
of points.

Develop an assessment work
sheet which tests students’
recognition of syllables, sounds
and tests students blending.

In groups model a game of “jeopardy” and have words which students must either write or say out loud for an amount of points. Develop an assessment work sheet which tests students’ recognition of syllables, sounds and tests students blending.
