The document discusses the history and uses of artificial intelligence. It begins with definitions of AI and discusses early pioneers in the field like Alan Turing. It then outlines goals of AI like deduction, reasoning, and problem solving. The document proceeds to discuss many everyday uses of AI today, including virtual assistants, social media, navigation, smart cars, banking, healthcare, and smart home devices. It also notes advantages like increased convenience, as well as disadvantages like cost and potential unemployment. The conclusion emphasizes using technology responsibly.

Usage of Artificial Intelligence In
Everyday Life
2. What Is artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence is a technology that enables a computer to think
or act in a more human way. It does this by taking information from
it’s surroundings and deciding its response based on what it learns or
sense.
3. History of Artificial Intelligence
The idea of AI goes as far back as ancient Greece. Greek myths speak of Hephaestus, a blacksmith
who created mechanical servants. This is one of many examples.
Fast forward to 1935, when the earliest substantial work in this field was done by Alan Turing, a
logician and computer pioneer.
Turing Machine 1951: Christopher Strachey wrote the first successful AI program
5. Using AI In Daily life
Virtual Assistants
Social Media Feeds & Media Streaming
Navigation and Travel
Smart cars and Drones
Banking and Finance
Natural Language processing
6. Virtual Personal Assistants
Siri, Google Now, and Cortana are for the most part savvy advanced digital
assistants on different platforms (iOS, Android, and Windows). They help us in
finding helpful information or data when we ask them to do using speech or
voice commands like “Nearby Restaurants”, “set an alarm for 12 PM”, and so on
7. Healthcare
Health experts need to audit reams of information manually before they diagnose or
treat a patient. Today, high-performance computing in the blend with graphics
processing units have turned out to be key devices for deep learning and AI
platforms, due halfway to their parallel processing power.
8. Banking
Banks and other money-related services have gathered a fortune trove of
information, bringing about huge informational collections. They also have broad
involvement with systematic tools, so they have a head start with the utilization of
AI, which can make many banking services more powerful.
9. Driver-less Transportation
Artificial intelligence takes away the responsibility from the drivers, and also
eliminates the danger of distracted driving and boasts a reaction time much faster
than that of any human.
10. Smart Home Devices
Lighting is somewhere else where you may see essential artificial intelligence; by
setting defaults and inclinations, the lights around your home (both inside and
outside) might alter in view of where you are and what you’re doing; dimmer for
staring at the TV, more splendid for cooking, and someplace in the center for eating,
for instance. Binary Informatics
11. Advantage of AI
Artificial intelligence has made daily life a lot easier like by use of applications on phones or
computers that predict user actions and also make recommendations that suit user’s
choice.
The greatest advantage of artificial intelligence is that machines do not require sleep or
breaks, and are able to function without stopping
12. Disadvantage of AI
Cannot fully replace humans.
Creates unemployment in certain sectors.
Cost involved is too much.
Can do more bad than good.
13. Future of AI
The future is really unknown
Researchers seem to disagree on a lot of the same issues
With the rate at which technology is improving it is logical to believe AI will continue
to get more and more sophisticated.
